Anyone have suggestions on how to minimize the speaker and door panel rattles on the 15+ edges. I have had the dealer take a look and their fix was to turn the bass and mid-range down to negative 3 (LLLLLLOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL) Everything rattles at 30% + volume with the sound settings all at zero (or neutral). Shit shouldn't rattle like this from the factory, with factory sound settings.

In the spring I plan on tearing apart the door panels and stuffing sound deadening materials everywhere, and trying to rubber tape the speakers points of contact with surfaces etc.

Do your rattles get worse during temperature changes?

Mine may be the result of having the stereo up too loud (obviously to drown out every other piece of trim in this car that rattles)

Fortunately I've been able to eliminate almost all of the rattles, squeaks, clunks and thumps this fall before there was a big temperature change. I can tell you My f150 picks up a rattle every winter when it drops down in the low 30's.

My advice is you generally get what you pay for, but I don't have any direct experience with this stuff.

What doesn't rattle on this car. Most likely the retainment clips need to be replaced.

I found the dynamat at a semi decent price on amazon, I think ill use it with the sound insulation if I can get it. Linus Tech (in Vancouver) used the jean insulation to deaden their server room and it appeared to work well so I assume it should work well on a vehicle.

Haha, 2 boxes of trim panel clips just came in on Thursday and I picked up 5 rolls of felt tape. Everything will be covered or replaced by the end.
