2013 heat not working

I have a 2013 Edge that has the My Ford Touch system. The other night it was around 72 degrees outside with high humidity, so the water vapor was condensing on the windshield. Instead of constantly running the wipers, I will usually turn the defroster on with heat to keep the condensation off. I didn't get anything above the ambient temperature out of the vents.

I am wondering if there is something in the software for this touch screen that limits the heater from coming on if the outside temperature is too warm, or if it may be something else entirely like a bad thermostat. I didn't have any problem with the heat last winter. ;)

Thanks for any help on this.

I had the control set on defrost for the windshield. I also tried going to the vents on the front of the dash and they were all the same. It just wouldn't get above the outside temperature. That's why I am wondering if there is something in the programming that will limit the amount of heat with respect to the outside air temperature.

For whatever reason I cannot copy/paste here. So on that note, search this forum for the same issue that shows how to do a reset on the HVAC. Another course of action is search YouTube for Ford Edge No Heat and look for a video by Mark O'Brien that shows how to do a reset. Apparently this issue arises for many this time of year.

The info needed is in post #9.
