BAMR sunroof shade detached from frame

The sunshade fabric somehow became detached from the front BAMR frame on my 2011 Edge Limited. I was able to reach back into the cavity with long need-nose pliers and was able to grab the fabric and pull it forward - it seems the sunshade it built like the old Venetian blinds on a spring-loaded rotating drum. But now I can't figure out how to reattach the fabric to the frame using the the clips - I'm not sure how they were designed to work. Has anyone done this and can provide guidance?
