2008 Edge security light flashing

I have a 2008 Ford Edge that had hvac issues.. turns out the condenser was dirty and leaking.. we removed the entire dashboard to replace the condenser, replaced it, changed a few blend door actuators. Put everything back together and tested the windows, seats, blower motor, and tried to start. Nothing happens but the blinking security light is flashing like I am stealing my own car.. is there a way to reset this without going to the dealer?

Ok problem solved yes I meant evaporator coil deal in the dash.. it turns out the ignition switch and the security ring is the same style and size.. I swapped them around and its fixed.. well kinda.. now its leaking at the o rings popped through the firewall.. new problem ???. Any hints to installing the little metal plate and lubricant for the o rings to prevent leaking?

Yes new o rings were installed.. we ended up replacing the o rings on the line set tonight.. now we are pulling vacuum and its holding.. this entire thing stems from a problem blowing warm air on the driver side and cold on the passenger side.. coil was leaking ever so slightly so I hope this fixes the problem.. if not I may push it over the edge

I'm here 3+ years later to say the ignition switch and security ring connectors being the same size made me panic at home for hours from a no-start situation (immobilizer icon flashing) after replacing my evaporator. I spent a whole day working through troubleshooting steps only to stumble into your post. Not sure if you are still here @Tolman but I made an account just to say THANK YOU for pointing that [now obvious step] out.

P.S. my at home evap replacement took 2 days of daylight to complete on my own. Used a repair manual and took my time. Works fine and no 134A leaking into the cabin.
