There is a switched fuse in the fuse box under the drivers side knee cover. It is extremely hard to get to and Ford used some small-ass fuses that are very fiddly. I ran the wire up the inside of the door seal and under the headlining, as I don't like any visible wires.... I used an Autozone save-a-fuse that gives you a second tap and it worked great from my windshield mounted Dashcam. I used fuse 23 (delayed accessory power) as it is switched but stays on for 5 or so minutes after shutdown, which is perfect for my dashcam as it has a parking record mode. Details of the fuses are here http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2018-Ford-Edge-Owners-Manual-version-1_om_EN-US_EN-CA_08_2017.pdf

I have a 2007 and tried to use the fuse box. It seems that fuses in the fuse box stay hot even if it seems that they shouldn't. I think the circuit is hot and the body controller switches the accessory off. I just tapped into the wiring behind the radio for a switched 12V source. Remember that this circuit will remain live with a delay or until the door is opened. You can also use the auto dimming mirror 12v for the same result.

They make a mirror tap harnesses for your Edge that fit Cobra, Blackview, Blackbox Guard & Itronics dash cams. (Any other camera with one of these cameras power connection will also work).

Power to the mirror is on the timed accessory feed, turns off when the car is off and door opened or after it times out.

Five minute job to wire, I've used mirror tap for a couple of radar detecors. 5 out of 5 stars for ease of installation and usefullness.

I used 2 fuse taps connected one to fuse #5 (always on) and #35 (switched on/off) installed a DPST toggle switch next to the steering column and ran the output from the switch thru the dash cam 12 to 5 volt converter and on to the dash cam, this way I can select if I want always on for parking mode or only on while driving.
