riche_guy Report post Posted November 11, 2018 (edited) My battery died this week. Changed battery, but now GPS not working. Took card out reinsert it, no change. Decided to do a master reset to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Ford Edge 2013 Limited. Edited November 11, 2018 by riche_guy
omar302 Report post Posted November 12, 2018 I'd disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes & then see if it fixes it.

omar302 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 Sorry, don't know what else can be done. Hopefully a more knowledgeable member will chime in.
cfo20 Report post Posted November 20, 2018 When you say not working, do you mean the red X over the GPS symbol? If so, could be the OEM GPS antenna. I just replaced my OEM GPS antenna (2011 MKX) and it resolved that issue.
riche_guy Report post Posted November 21, 2018 Yes a red X over GPS symbol. Will check if it is that. I have an appointment with dealership in December...
riche_guy Report post Posted December 19, 2018 I went to the dealer and he tells me he needs to replace the GPS module with 2.5 hours labour. $
jmr061 Report post Posted December 19, 2018 If you ask me they are nuts on the labor hours. Hands on time shouldn't be more than an hour. The module sits behind the instrument cluster.
timfountain Report post Posted December 25, 2018 (edited) Sync 2 so no idea, Edited December 25, 2018 by timfountain
jmr061 Report post Posted December 25, 2018 14 hours ago, timfountain said: I think a couple of hours is pretty reasonable. 2.5? Maybe a stretch! You have to take off 3 pieces of trim and the center console out, re-program the new APIM and also remove the head unit to detach the APIM from the back of the screen. Re-assembly is the reverse.... And then a test drive. The GPS module is separate from the APIM so not sure why you are referencing that. The vehicle in question is a 2013 which would have MFT/SYNC2. timfountain Report post Posted December 25, 2018 Good point. I was thinking it was Sync 3. Sync 2 I have no idea, so hats off to you.
cfo20 Report post Posted January 3, 2019 I would try replacing the antenna first. $50 and change gamble (doing the labor yourself) but it may fix the problem (did for me).
