Moving On

Recommended Posts

Good Evening,

Unless something goes wonky in the next 24 hours I will be the proud new owner of 2017 Subaru Outback 2.5 I with 29,000 Miles. I am going to sell my Edge so if I can get any suggestions on selling the car please let me know. I loved the way the car ran and how smooth it was. I will still be around here until I get the car sold and will most likely still pop in once in awhile. I can't express how gracious I am for y'alls help over the last 5 and a half years. It was just to good of a deal to pass up.

Sorry to see the Edge go, but I am guessing lack of warranty has something to do with it as well.

Best of luck with the new ride, hope it works out for you.  The tech will definitely be more uptodate, and probably get better mileage too!

Warranty is part of it, but how much work it needed when it was warranted was a big part of it as well. The fact that the transmission is still just not quite right also scares me quite a lot as well.

What year/how many miles on your Edge? AWD?

Good luck with the Subaru, they're very popular.

A little scary for new Edge owners like me. ?

It is a 2012 with the Ecoboost engine not AWD. It was nice with tech and everything, but I have never really enjoyed how the transmission felt.

A friend of mine was shopping for a new car and they selected the Outback rather than an Edge mostly on cost. And they are a Ford family.

Hope you are enjoying the Outback.  I recently left the GMC Acadia forum after 14 years.  Many transitions there too.   Several are still there since 2007 with even the original and several kept replacing w newer Acadia's.  Again, enjoy your new ride!

I did finally sell the Edge a few weeks ago. Almost unbelievably to my parents. They needed something a bit bigger for when they go places together (Audi A3 is to small, Ford F-250 Too Big). They like it so far. On a sour note not less than a week after transferring the title to my parents my Subaru was rear ended thankfully no one was hurt, but now it is in the body shop and I am stuck driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue Rental. Would have much preferred the Edge to the Rogue thats for sure.

For the first 6 months of ownership I have fallen in love with the Subaru. Something about a Boxer Engine Growl and a great AWD system.
