Busablaze Report post Posted December 29, 2020 I have a 2012 Edge Limited with the factory installed tow package. A few days ago while the car was warming up I went to hook up my trailer and got a small spark and now the plug is dead. I have read and searched the internet and joined this forum to read what the problem may be. I've checked all the fuses that I can find with no luck on getting power restored to the plug. I'm sure its a fuse, relay, module or something but I'm having no luck on locating the problem. This is my first Edge so I'm not sure exactly where I should be looking for the problem. Any help or advice where to look would be greatly appreciated.
enigma-2 Report post Posted December 29, 2020 Probably popped a fuse. Check #63 in the box in the engine compartment.
Busablaze Report post Posted December 30, 2020 Yes sir, I'm sure it's a fuse. Just having a hard time finding it. Thanks.
enigma-2 Report post Posted December 31, 2020 AFAIK, the trailer tow connector is just an extension off the existing lighting harnesses. 1. Does your parking and license plate lights work? Yes, go to 2. No. Check that fuse in the SJB. 2. Does the turn signals/brake lights work? No. Check that fuse. Yes. The problem traces back to the SJB.
