ralepine Report post Posted January 14 Hello, New to this forum, so I apologize if I am posting in the wrong spot. My 2019 Edge all of a sudden is loud upon start up and vibrating while moving slowly (forward and reverse). When brake is completely pressed or in drive it doesn't vibrate. When I take my foot off the gas or brake, it starts up again. Mechanic could not figure it out. Anyone seen this before? Thank you!
enigma-2 Report post Posted January 15 Based on your description, it almost sounds like someone stold your catalytic converter.

Your description isn't clear, so doubt anyone here will be able to diagnose it.
ralepine Report post Posted January 16 This was an independent shop. They said my transmission fluid was black, which they replaced. Sound is the same as when we brought it in. 5 hours of labor charged. My description is exactly what I am experiencing.
1004ron Report post Posted January 16 I suggest that you do a search for an independent service shop in your area that has good online reviews, or take it to a dealership. Quote My 2019 Edge all of a sudden is loud upon start up and vibrating while moving slowly (forward and reverse). On start up, in Park, and standing still you say its loud - have someone start it while you listen to the engine with the hood open - post a video clip of the noise and vibration. Is it the engine vibrating, or the whole vehicle?
SC_ST Report post Posted January 16 Is it out of warranty?
ralepine Report post Posted January 16 Thank you all for your suggestions. The powertrain is still under warranty. Making an appointment with the dealer. I'll post here when I find out the diagnosis.
enigma-2 Report post Posted January 17 Dealer under warranty should have been your first stop.
dfreeman332 Report post Posted January 20 Had the same situation; replaced both upped engine mounts and "dog bone" resolved the vibration issue as ralepine described.
