Cubflyer Report post Posted December 3, 2022 I had a new turbo installed on my 2012 edge. It was an aftermarket turbo that was brand new. I noticed that after letting off on throttle I am getting quite a bit of turbo flutter noise. I’ve just dealt with it but it is getting on my nerves and I would like to fix it. Im guessing is a waste gate issue. Is the waste gate opened by engine vacuum? Any suggestions as to what to do to fix the issue. I paid to have it installed and rather not pay $120 an hour if it is something simple I can fix my self. thanks Jeff
akirby Report post Posted December 4, 2022 I think it’s computer controlled but it’s probably some incompatibility with the aftermarket turbo rather than it being faulty.
Cubflyer Report post Posted December 6, 2022 I spoke with the company that I bought the turbo from and they recommend that I check the turbo bypass valve or the vacuum supply to it. Jeff
