wlepse Report post Posted November 13, 2011 Just found this deal at Adorama through slickdeals...32GB Sandisk Extreme Class 10 for $53. If you go for 16GB you can get a super talent for 15 or Kingston for
Dingo Report post Posted November 14, 2011 The sandisk deal is great. I just ordered 2 for my hd camcorder. I use the faster one for the Nikon for continuous shooting.
AXCL Report post Posted November 14, 2011 People with nav get an SD card and a flash drive. Incidentally, I wonder if copying the SD card's contents onto a faster card would speed up the nav? Hey Dingo, Where did you hear Nav users also get an SD card? That's awesome if its true! Also everyone should hold on jacking this thread into an SD card review. Lets wait until we have confirmation you can copy it to a new card. I'm guessing you can't, but have never tried it myself. Its likely VIN locked, so it could be possible as long as it's only used in the same vehicle. If this doesn't work, it may be possible with an actual disk copy utility. There could be sector information on the SD card that won't copy using standard methods.

Jaclyn At Ford No problem, Ron. @Carrie & Nicole - Customers that purchased the navigation option will receive a new and improved SD-card in their Performance Upgrade packet. Took the Fiesta in today to get the snow tires put on from the Canadian winter promotion The service manager talked to me about my Edge and said that he is expecting the new upgrade on January 13, 2012. He said I can expect a letter from Ford early in the new year re: update.

LetsTryaFord Report post Posted December 6, 2011 Oh. Well that is just swell. I'm not surprised for one single moment...!!!! Problems with this system have been evident for close to two years now. Do you really believe it takes this long to correct, geez this is not space travel we're talking here No guys we're in this for the long haul with Ford I'm afraid

dr.edge Report post Posted December 6, 2011 Have you ever managed an extremely large and complex software project? Easy now, no need to attack the other poster. Since Ford has never officially communicated a target date other than 1st quarter 2012 for the release, they may still make it. I think people's hopes were raised when there was an 'unofficial' statement from a dealer (earlier in the thread) that it was going to be released mid-January. I'll believe it when I see it, until then, it's just vapor-ware.

JOEHIO Report post Posted December 7, 2011 Last week, when I picked up my new MKX, the service rep said that they just got notification that the update will be available in January. So far, no problems with my new set of wheels, but the update is supposed to have friendlier user screens, and much faster ! Joe
