power point connections still discharge battery

will the power point connections still discharge battery, if connected to ipod, even after turning off the engine and remove the key in Ford Edge 2011 SEL ? my 2005 honda odyssey turn off all power points after turn off the engine and remove the key from the Dashboard.

Power outputs (12V cig adapter) in Fords stay energized at all times.

 

I wish other manufacturers did the same...

If you connect your iPod to the usb port, you should be OK. My iPod has been plugged in for a year with no problems because the USB ports power down.
