  1. Well I'm sad to report I've had my first unresolvable sync issue today. I was driving around Windsor this morning and made a few calls via the voice commands no problem. I then crossed the border and was in Detroit for an hour or so. I see that the phone is not connected for some reason. I am using the US network at this point. I have made calls there before with no problem. The phone has never become unsync'd there before either. I waited till I was back home and tried reconnecting it. It did not work. I tried removing the phone and reconecting it: again nothing. I then shut the iphone 4 completely down and tried reconnecting...nada. I then called Apple. He suggested I try a reset under General settings. I did: the iphone is not picking up the sync signal. I also tried shutting the blue tooth off on both the car and phone, still nothing. The only other suggestion he had was to do a full restore on the phone and try it again.

    This happened once before and all I had to do was to reconnect the phone on the sync screen. I also tried to do a hard reset on the i4 as well. I can't do the restore until I'm back home at 9pm. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to pull the fuse until it's the last resort. In my opinion, it seems like an iphone issue more than a sync issue, but who knows?

    Edit: I am running both new updates for sync and the i4.

     

    I had the exact same thing happen to me with two different phones (Iphone 4 and Blackberry Bold). I think it is a Sync issue and not a phone issue. I made an appointment to see the service department about it (and a few other things) and during the time between, the phone started working again. No explanation...just worked. Same thing happened to my iPhone once and hasn't happened since. Not a solution but that was just my experience.

  2. Just spoke to my delear and they want to charge me $90 to do the update. They also told me that they don't know what is in the update. Does anyone know where I can find some information that can explain what the update is for? I suspect that it is fixing some of the bug issues so my question would then be why do we have to pay for it? If the SYNC doesn't work correctly then it should be covered under warrenty.

  3. Need some help...

     

    I had two phones hooked up fine in my car for the last month or so. Recently I was driving and tried to change from my favorite phone (mine) to my wifes while driving. This has worked perfectly fine in the past but this time I was not able to switch. Not only was I not able to switch to her phone but now it doesn't recognize either and won't connect. I tried to delete mine and reconnect it but my phone won't recognize the sync and the sync won't recognize my phone.

     

    Any advice?

     

    If rebooting is the only thing I can do, what is the fuse number or location so that I can do a hard reboot?

  4. As mentioned, the Ford key fob controls remote start too. I've also noticed that window stickers for Canadian vehicles don't list Remote Start. But Remote Start IS listed as a standard feature on the Canadian website so I'm going to assume it's there. I would like to hear some feedback on how well it works.

     

     

    Works great. I use it a lot to start the car and wait for the AC to cool the inside down. First time with this feature and I really like it. I am sure it will be great in the winter.

  5. I was driving to my wedding in central Michigan and I saw about 30, new 2011 Edge's in a row on the highway. Looked like they were demonstration vehicles on their way to delearships.

     

    The new front grill is a dramatic improvement and the LEDs on the front look very sharp. It happened too fast to get pictures.

     

    Can't wait!!!!

  6. Submitted my order for a 2011 Edge Limited AWD with 302A package. I currently have an '09 Lexus IS250 and needed something bigger. I live in Northern Virginia and, although it took some time to locate, I finally found a dealer with enough information to help me order one.

     

    I would love to hear from anyone who has seen one in person to see what their impression of it was.
