  1. Yeah I agree about the tires. Actually a little disappointed on the tread for "all weather" I guess they mean all weather except any snow. We will have to see about them lasting. If I end up having to winter tires and snow tires I will never hear the end of it about the sport. Oh my oh my.

The pictures are awesome. I am really grateful at the quality of everyones pictures. The other part that I am wondering - how does the "wood" look on the limited?

I am still so excited I could almost scream.

Choff, I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. I hope you LOVE your Edge! Actually, I think the 'wood' looks pretty good. I payed attention to it today as I traveled down the interstate (a nice sunny day today here in SW Louisiana) and the 'wood' looked very nice. I can't say it looks as nice as perhaps real wood would, but it's nice, you'll appreciate it I'm sure! Post some pics of your new ride if you can. Enjoy!

  2. Great Pics tonyf!

I'm getting the same wheels. You don't see them featured in any ads so it's good to see them on a real Edge.

Those rear speakers are HUGE! I can't wait to crank the polka (just kidding)

One requirement on my purchase was the rear view camera. It looks like it will come in handy.

The tire tread isn't very aggressive. Looks like they are low resistence. Good thing I opted for the AWD.

I can't wait to for my Black Limited. (in transit now)

BTW: the first mod I'm going to do is to tint the two front windows the same as the other windows.

Thanks Wilson, I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, those speakers are huge and let me tell you, they pump some sound! This Sony system is great! My second day with the Edge and lovin' it even more! The rearview cam with park assist is pretty cool, so is the Sync system, while not perfect, it's really smart. I hope you enjoy your Edge and if you can, post some pics.

  3. So I've been waiting for my local dealer to get one of the new 2011 Edge Sports in (looks like it will be at least another month), and in my waiting starting looking at other cross overs. Today I stopped by and looked at 2010 Caddilac SRX Performance. They are really trying to move them off the lot, and would ultimately be around the same price as the proposed 2011 Edge Sport...

Any opinions out there? either way?

I test drove an SRX and while I liked it a great deal (I mean, it's a Caddilac!), I was very uncomfortable in the seat. It seemed as though it wrapped inward around me. I also felt I sat lower in the SRX than the Edge. I discovered that I could get so much more in the 2011 Edge, I decided to order one. I am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. Hope you find what's right for you.

  4. Like others here, I too have ordered a 2011 Edge and still have not heard anything. The dealer said they would let me know as soon as they new anything, but they said I may not get delivery until October. I placed my order in mid June.

Does anyone have anymore insight on when the Edge's will show up in dealerships?

I placed my order for an '11 edge on June 09th and salesman told me this past Friday that the car's build date was July 28th but Ford will not ship for another three weeks or so. But since we both ordered in June, I'm thinking by the end of this month or September.

  5. Hi! New forum member here!

Can anyone give me any advise on process of purchasing a 2011 Edge when they come out?

Has Ford fixed existing problems, ie: acceleration problems?

Is their bumper to bumper extended warranty good?

    Is their paint durable?

Any advice/warning/heads up will be appreciated.

I ordered my 2011 edge back in June. The process was pretty easy. I did my homework online and built the exact car I wanted. Kelly's bluebook even gave me the invoice vs the msrp price so when I went to the dealership I was armed with everything I needed. All the package numbers from kelly's bluebook matched ford's info. and the dealership gave me the car at $100.00 over the invoice cost. It should be here in 3 to 4 weeks. Hope you have good luck with yours.

  6. This is a follow-up to our first post concerning our 2010 Ford Edge. We've had the Edge 6 months now and really enjoy it. The camel color interior is okay, but you must keep wiping it down to keep it clean. Since we picked this car because it tows flat behind our RV, our initial post was asking if anyone had installed Roadmaster Tow Brackets. We received no response on that. We have successfully installed the Roadmaster Tow Brackets ourselves. A word to the wise: Follow instructions to the letter, especially when it comes to trimming the grill. We just finished a 5 thousand mile cross-country trip, towing the Edge and all went well, as far as how it tows. Our only problem was with the car battery. We found that you must start the car at each and every stop. Our battery had to be replaced half way through the trip.

Just purchased a 2011 edge with light stone leather seats, I never thought of the cleaning issue, yikes! Hope mine won't do the same. Is there anything you can apply to the leather that seems to help? Thanks, btw, I haven't taken delivery of the vehicle yet, might be here in 3 to 4 weeks. thanks
