    Hi..

    No, not a problem..

    The dealer wanted 525$ per wheel if i remember correctly...

    I got them here from this ebay seller

    But had to pay alot for shipping...Less if you are closer to him i guess..anyway, they arrived mint in box. Brand new...

    So

    Wheels: 750$

    Nokian Hakkas: 1200$

    Sensors ( original Ford valve type): 220$

     

    No trouble with the sensors..the rubber man just programmed them..perfect!

     

    I think this is an awesome kit..we had tons of freezing rain here yesterday...i could not believe how this thing performed.

    For those who have put new tires on - what have you gone with? Have you put new rims on or just swapped the tires out? I know nothing about tires so not sure what the options are. I went over to TireRack which didn't seem to have any snows for the 22" factory rims I have on my Sport. They offered alternative packages on 17" and 18" rims. Is that an option? Can you put different sized rims on the car? If so, is there any advantage between the 17" and 18" tires?

    I added 2011 SEL 18 inch aluminium wheels on the Sport with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R's ...Had a blast last week..never driven anything that good in the snow.

     

    I did not bother with the 22s..first, I'm in love with the wheels and want to keep them as clean as possible, second you get a lot more rubber choice in 17 & 18. I would say the only advantage to the 18s is the look..you get less of a shock when you take off the 22s.

     

    So..the 22s are in hibernation, and i have nice safe fun in the snow with no worries and a very nice look. The 2011 SEL 18s are very nice imho.

    Ok...here we go.

     

    Super happy owner - Sport 2011-

     

    I am 5 weeks into this with 2200 miles and never had any problems ..like in zero.

     

    Yesteday afternoon, i was cruising along on the highway and tried to make a call ..like the 100's i did so far with this. The call was not going throught and i noticed that the right screen was flickering,where you see the name and phone# of your call. It looked like it was trying very very hard to do something. So..i waited..about 10 minutes and let it do his thing..but the thing was in a loop of somekind and i had to make this call.

     

    I cut the call with the steering button, go to the main screen and shutoff BT. I take my iphone 4.2 and try to dial my contact ...dead the iphone. Tried a few times..and a few contacts. Nope..dead.

     

    So at this point, i'm kinda happy...i figure thats why MFT was trying so hard..no cell network. ....not.

    I shut down the iphone, start up everything again...and try the call. Same issue with MFT, flickering data on the right screen.

    So, i cut the call and punch the call right into the handheld phone. The call goes trought...but everything is now on the car's screen..everything but the call audio. So it's like everything was now working..but had to use it handheld. The phone speaker also would not engage..? On the ear only call.

     

    Then..a half hour later..on the same drive..all hell breaks loose. There is a message on screen that the SD card is not compatible and it cannot recognize it!! Open armrest..eject card...insert card ..all is back to normal with navi.

     

    About 10 minutes later..all the info on the screen is there.

    Iphone, navigation, usb ipod, climate

    Now, i was looking at it an this is what happened. All in sequence..

    Iphone - disconnected- no phone

    Navi- no navi, no card

    Usb - no device

     

    At this point...i am happy. The missing one is an important one..climate.. So i figure...i have heat at least.

    Boom...climate off and screen shutdown.

     

    I did not do ANYTHING different than what i do everyday

    I did not UPDATE anything (phone, ipod, sync,mft..)

    I have not UNPLUGGED anything since day one (ipod,sd nav card..or unpaired my phone)

     

    The only thing that was done to the car was a TPMS sensor programming for my new winter Hakkas .. Not by Ford, by the tire man.

     

    So, this is the story people

     

    I am in love with this car, i will try to have it updated...just like everyone. And i am going to love it even more if it's a little faster and stable. That's all i ask from it...to be constant with the features in now has..no more, no less. Phone,navi,music,climate, and voice commands.

     

    I was one of the few ones here that had reported a 'perfect' version.

    Not anymore..

    Hi

    Sport 2011 ..wonderful product. Never had this much fun in a car (...and have had a few nice ones)

     

    Iphone 4 paired since day one ( ..into my 4th week now) never lost a call, always works perfect. Around 400 contacts..

    Ipod in usb with around 300 albums... Again, perfect!

     

    Tonite..wanted to pick up pizza on my way and call ahead to have ready for pickup. Got to it by voice in a flash.

    Navigation

    Restaurants

    Dominos pizza...

    Map and phone popped up ..and i just hit dial.

     

    Super stuff

    Just really love it

    Oh,,by the ways..this thing growls when you shift it up to 5k..nice sound and alot of power. Paddle shifters are really nice, i would not do without them.

    The good news is that i tell you it works! I use an iphone4 with no trouble. I wonder how i did before.

     

    When i picked it up 3 weeks ago... I paired it on the spot and it synced all my iphone contacts at lightning speed.. I think i have 400 or so in there. Has worked flawless since.

    You will return it for nothing...I can tell you this is a great car.

     

    Just wait and see..this thing is updatable.So it will be updated at some point in time.

    What I don't understand..is that I have had zero trouble so far. Why some work and some don't just does not fit. I mean, they all come from the same place..and not 3 years apart.

    But mine works as advertised..all of it. It's just great.

    I've already explained how this chip works and why it is garbage. Search on any other car forum where people ask about these same chips and anyone with any intelligence on how an engine works or how ecu control is done will say the same thing.

     

    No offense to you but I would not install one on my lawn mower (if it had a computer and iat sensor.)

     

    If you're happy, great. I am not going to waste my time any more.

     

    About the intake, again the computer can compensate for 25% fuel and will do so without throwing a light. I can all but guarantee that you are running lean but probably within that 25% threshold.

     

     

    I don't know 'jack' about all this mod stuff..But I trust you...

    No one...no one is touching my stock Sport.. :shades:

    The FWD Sport and it's an absolute win. I love mine more than any other car I've ever driven and everyone I show it to is amazed at the look/capability. I traded in an Infinity for my Edge Sport and never looked back. Congrats on owning the coolest truck on the road.

     

     

    ...And I can say the same for my Sport AWD..Awesome !

    Like a few mentionned...

     

    I have had my 2011 sport for the last 2 weeks. i just don't understand this..I even have trouble turning it on !!! It's recessed...

    It sure is not a problem worth writing about for me...Anyways, good luck for those who are stressed out about this.

    Look..touch, feel, ..there is so much to like on this car.

    I heard that when you use 9006 bulbs in place of a 9012 bulb that it requires trimming of the plastic on the bulb...not sure if its using a 9006 in a 9012 housing or vice versa....however...why use a 9006 kit when Retro-Solutions has 9012 kits that come with a "2011 Ford Edge harness"....Im ordering from them tomorrow cause the factory bulbs SUCK!!....they give us nice LED strips and projectors but they take away the HID option for Sport models...i don't get it but whatever....go with what you know will fit before you end up going through a process of ordering and returning simply because some "says" it will fit...

     

     

    So? Did you get them?

    If you are one for small details I recommend getting the larger size. It looks STOCK and not like an add-on. My pictures were really blurry for before and after and I dont want to post them but I did post a picture of my ordering packing slip and the bag that the film came in, so you can see part numbers and all, if you want to order this spec.

    Also look up my earlier post for additional information.

  25. SYNC Maintenance??

    This is the canned boot screen. Your system rebooted.

    It' not really scheduled maintenance

    I've always suspected that each MyTouch system needed to be rebooted a couple of times after the initial install on the assembly ...

     

     

    Ummm

    Not so shure...

     

    Why does nobody mention this anywhere yet..i have not seen anything written reporting this.

    When you guys pull out the #29 fuse ..thats a reboot..no.? When people do so, does it say system maintenance ?

     

    All i know is that i have a brand spankin new sport that i got on tuesday. Works flawless so far ( everything..ipod,usb,bt,)

    And am very happy (and impressed..) And the EXACT same event and the way it was reported by the OP happend to me, exactly as described..same date..and maybe same time. I could have written and posted this...

     

    I works wonderfully well...

     

    I will report more on my new sport..now..I'm driving
