I can not seem to connect to SYNC services in my 2011 ford edge. Phone settings seem correct. I can conduct diagnostic test and report successfully.
What version of MFT do you have? This was a problem on the first version of the software I had. If you connected to services, it played a commercial instead of what it was supposed to...I don't know the exact version the the software I started with but I know it was fixed post 2.4

Thanks everyone for the assistance...I am pretty sure it is a belt issue, definitely a squeak not a tick...On a colder day, I tried to spray the belt with the belt conditioning spray, and the noise changed, but didn't go away...BUT now that it is warmer outside, I don't hear the noise anymore....I am assuming the cold weather makes the belt stiff and first thing in the moring the alternator is running full power to charge up my battery...
I guess I will have to wait until it gets cold and take the car in to get the belt changed...

OK, I am probably going to get hit with a "duplicate topic" post, but my engine is squeaking loudly upon start up. Not a constant squeak, but more periodic.
I think that after runnning it for 10 minutes or so, it mostly goes away, but still it is not only concerning but slightly embarrasing. Not quite sure what it could be...I only have 10k miles on the 2011 SEL, so if there is something wrong, the dealership should fix it, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem, so that when I go into the dealership I don't have to sit and argue with them, as by the time I get there the noise will probably be gone anyway, and my dealership service folks are kinda a pain in the butt....

Just a guess, but I assume the circuits are probably not there to power everything.

Does the rear view camera on the SEL with the 202a package come with those cool little red, yellow and green lines that help you park? The ones that show up on the screen. Not sure what they're called. The salesman said he thought so but wasn't positive. I've searched online and can't find the answer. Thanks.
Just to be clear, I am not sure about 202a, but I have 201a and the red yellow green lines are there but they DO NOT MOVE as you turn your sterring wheel, like some fancier cars.

I have a 2010 Edge in which the drivers seats squeaks. Mostly noticed driving in town when hitting normal bumps.
Is there a fix for this?
I love the vehicle but hate this noise.
Why don't you take it in to the dealership? They should fix it under warranty.

I am fairly technically inclined but I am confused about some of those updates/upgrades. For example in the Sync compatible software you have AD then AG. Is AD the previous and AG is after the update? (In other words are they showing the before & after). Mine is showing BT4T-14F603-AG only. Sorry if this post sounds confusing, it is because I am confused!!!
Ford part numbers show (Year vehicle) - base part number - revision
B stands to 2011 the T4T must be the edge, the base part number, then revision

Here is a whole discussion on the topic.
I am waaay late to this, but I had Ford install mine. I put it into the purchase price, and it was less than $490.
I did not get an extra key FOB, but just 2 extra keys with the remote start button in the lower right corner. They also programmed the myford touch to go along with it so I now have "REMOTE START" in one of my menus.

So My 2011 SEL 202A is on order, but im not sure if it comes with this cargo net. Is this a standard item with the edge or an accessory for purchase?
Mine came with the net...I did not pay extra...I got a 201a SEL

I do not have Remote Start I have an SEL with RS202A) No Remote Start...
I can tell you that I have not had an issue with the radio powering off like you state...I will continue to monitor...going out to the garage to conduct some iPhone 4 / Sync testing!

I have the SEL 201a package and I had the remote start installed at the dealership. They give you an extra set of Keys with the remote start button in the bottom right corner of the key. The blower doesn't blow at full speed to defrost the windows, so it is not great, but it is better than nothing.
I think it cost me approx 300, but I rolled it into my purchase price...
I am wondering if it will still work after this new firmware update...

Ford Corp is not doing anything as promised either and I'm waiting for them to make it right. Why should I have to run around to make it right I didn't build these DEFECTIVE VECHICLES!!! And, then sell them to lock people into contracts. "FORD DEFECTIVE 2011 EDGE SYNC SCAM"

One of the VERY first things I did when I got my Edge was flip the headrest. I wear a high ponytail most of the time, and it just wasn't working for me. Saw the posts tonight about the Allen wrench, but maybe that's just for the back headrests, as mine came out & flipped fairly easily with just the button (both driver & passenger in front).
Only downside is the pretty stitching isn't on the backside, which is now the frontside. Small thing to give up for ponytail freedom! :D
You know that headrest is designed that way for whiplash protection, right? Reversing the headrest puts it way too far from your head.
Turning it around is not good in a rear crash...but it is easy to turn around as stated up above. Other vehicles headrests MAY fit in there as well (mustang, fusion, etc)

From the service dept. at my dealership. I also heard from someone else that Ford released MFT about a year earlier than when they should have.

I don't really get the cargo net...I have it hooked up to the wire loops on the floor near the door, and wrapped the net around the plastic loops on the sides...BUT If I put eggs inside the net,the door will hit the eggs when I close it...Am I supposed to hook the net around the flat mushroom hooks further forward in the vehicle as well? I couldn't find the installation instructions....

My back up camera has blacked out. I pulled the fuse, let it sit, and plugged back in...problem solved.

I have worked with the Ford engineers...pretty sure I can outsmart them...I could probably let my dog run the SST and outsmart them....

There are hundreds of things that could be squeaking, and the chances are that it is a pretty simple fix. The dealer shouldn't have to replace the whole seat....
I would at least try and pin point what location the squeak is coming from...Is it the cushion or the back?

Yeah, this has been happening to me for about a month. Services dials 800 307 4402 in my car. The folks on the help line tell you to take it to the dealership to reflash, but the dealership has no clue what to do. I have figured out that if you hit the service button(or say "serivces") and then put that call on hold and dial the correct number (800 304-6099) you can trick the system into working, but it will only work for as long as the commercial that plays when you hit the services button...Usually I can get 1 traffic report in, or 1 directions..Of course if you want horoscopes, sports scores or news, you can just call the 304 number like any other number...you only need to trick the system when you want to use the vehicle's GPS. I saved the correct number on my phone as "service" so if I can just say "service" to get the non GPS services stuff.
This has really been a pain in the butt...

You can supposedly get an aftermarket Ford starter installed at the dealership...I paid for mine at closing and waiting for the parts to come in...
Can't believe my wife's 17k HHR came with a starter and my 34k Edge didn't...

Does anyone else have a bad connection when trying to get directions from TDI?
It seems like the longer I stay on the line the worse the connection gets. Services seems to work OK, but when I get the the point where it asks for the business name or address the connection is so bad half the time, I can't understand what is being said over the phone or directions doesn't understand me...
Anyone else ever have this problem? I don't get it, it should be the same as a phone call, right? I have never really had a problem with a call...
