  1. I assume that means warranty on MFT portion only gets extended an extra year.

     

     

    It's actually The Premium Care 5/75K...I got the paper work today confirming this. A little background...about a month ago the field rep here in St. Louis contacted me about the MFT and asked me my thoughts, impressions, and issues I've had. I spoke up for us all and let him know that this BETA software that was released should have never seen the light of day until it was COMPLETE before TESTING it on all of us...I said I was considering another make and model due to said frustrations....He offered the warranty and I accepted. I was reluctant to post anything until I received OFFICIAL confirmation. I received the paper work and can confirms this.

  2. I wouldn't give up my edge for anything I'm quite happy with it. in fact were so happy with our edge and my ford touch that we just purchased a 2011 ford explorer for my wife.

     

    after receiving the car I set "my temp" and left it alone never touched it again. Best of all, I just say my temp on and it's all set up.

     

    I've never had a wind noise inside the car only quiet.

     

    and as far as my transmission goes I can't believe how smooth this thing shifts.

     

    my advice? Go buy a toyota venza

     

     

    Copy that! now that Microsoft updated their software, I am a satisfied customer! My Ford dealer took REALLY good care of me when my Edge was getting the update as well!

  3. My Edge got updated at the dealer. No official instruction from Ford Head Office but they managed to update the whole Sync system.

    Result: Awesome. Now everything is working as it should. Buetooth pairing is now working. GPS is announcing mileage in KM and not in Miles. French translation much better...

     

    I'm now a satisfied customer. I live in Montreal, Canada.

     

     

    Ditto....almost two weeks now for me since the update, and I am loving my ride once again! I knew things would get resolved!

  4. My only issue is the night light which I really don't care about. I can't be bothered to make a special trip just to address that.

     

    Make sure you put the AWD display on when you're driving in the snow..it's fascinating to watch!

     

     

    Sadly, I did not opt for the AWD option...It does not snow enough in St. Louis anymore to justify the cost...but I will keep the FWD'ers updated...

     

    Two inches of snow so far, the slushy wet snowball making snow. I haven't noticed any slippage trying to navigate up a hill to my home. 3 more inches of snow on the way, will report back later.

  5. Day 3, 4, and 5

     

    ISSUES TO REPORT: NONE

    HAPPINESS FACTOR: EXTREMELY

     

    I really do enjoy driving this vehicle!

     

    This is my final report! Since the software upgrade everything has been working - the only issue is the color selection with the ambient lighting which I have not used since testing. Other wise....

     

    ISSUES: NONE

    HAPPINESS FACTOR: EXTREMELY

     

    If you are experiencing major issues with your MFT/Snyc, you need this upgrade!

     

    The main screen night light issue=solved. Popping with Bluetooth audio=solved. System freezing=solved. Rear camera scrolling=solved....and that's about all for me.

     

    Snow testing coming up tomorrow! Stay tuned!

    ISSUES TO REPORT: NONE

    HAPPINESS FACTOR: EXTREMELY

    IPHONE4 - Contacts sync, calls work as advertised, and Pandora....ohhhhh Pandora....wow, it works EXCELLENT! No more popping sounds post upgrade!!

     

    Further updates to come as needed...For all of you who are is discouraged as I was....hang in there! Once your dealer is actually able to download the needed update from Ford and MFT gets updated you will be fine!!!

     

    Day 3, 4, and 5

     

    ISSUES TO REPORT: NONE

    HAPPINESS FACTOR: EXTREMELY

  7. I do not have Remote Start :( I have an SEL with RS202A) No Remote Start...

     

    I can tell you that I have not had an issue with the radio powering off like you state...I will continue to monitor...going out to the garage to conduct some iPhone 4 / Sync testing!

     

    Will keep all posted!

  8. Brian your remote start works as before? One click of "lock" plus 2 clicks of "remote start button"? After the update I need to click the lock door button twice making the horn beep. Plus the ambient is off by the 2 colors. Additionally my radio power gets turned off at times when starting the car. Nothing I can't live with however BUT you think they would get it right. Hopefully anyway

  9. Good stuff, that's positive news Brian!! You've certainly been a trooper while your Edge has been in the shop for almost 3 weeks, kudos to you! :)

     

    I knew things would workout...I will keep everyone posted. --- Now what to get for Christmas! LOL

    Ambient Colors off by one...

  10. FINALLY! An actual update! My dealer actually called me today and told me that my vehicle was READY! I went to pick it up - they told me they updated the software and the delay was Ford being able to provide the update to them...anyway, MFT/Sync has been updated, and my initial observations are positive.

     

    My Iphone 4 synced right up without a problem, voice calls were made and received. -- I have not tested Pandora.

     

    Climate Controls are fully operational.

     

    Ambient light is off by one color.

     

    Radio controls are fully operational.

     

    Backup camera fully operational.

     

    White nightlight screen is no more.

     

    MFT/Sync seems much more responsive from when I dropped it of 17 days ago.

     

    I will provide further updates as I continue to test.

     

    Hang tight folks, it's getting better.

     

    Did I mention how much I missed My Edge...the Fusion was nice, but The Edge is clearly a cut above.

  11. Sorry, wish I could help more. Heavy rains and 13C (55F) is the weather tomorrow, so our winter really hasn't started yet. Not that I'm complaining though. :)

     

    Wow, now that is mild!! You can have this cold air back anytime!! It's like 10F (-11C) here!

  12. Sorry to hear about that, it has to be the tires. I'm sure you've heard on the news last week, we had our thruway shut down and I persoanlly got 4' of snow. I couldn't be happier with the way the FWD Edge handled it all. Kudos to Ford again.

     

    Yo EW! Can you post some pictures of that shit! We got a whole 3" in St. Louie! I want to see what REAL snow looks like!

  13. This is absolutely a lemon law situation. I actually went through it with a different vehicle a few years back and it was quite simple.

    Usually its based on the car being out of service X amount of time or a reoccurring issue that they cant fix which could pose

    a safety issue.

     

    Ford better move quickly or have a more open dialog before they have a big issue on their hands with

    what they consider one of the lines biggest selling points.

     

     

    The real shitter of all of this is.....All I want is a 2011 Ford Edge that everything works in! Hard to believe, but technology aside, I REALLY like it!
