    I followed your postings on the Sync site and seems like after your 2nd visit, everything is absolutely perfect and all is corrected :)

    Sounds like you got the right dealer to do this upgrade! Is it the Gen 2 Version 2.4?

     

    I would like to know which dealer you went to? Are you in Canada?

     

    I'm from Montreal and most dealers I have tried contacting have absolutely no clue about the update and what I'm talking about when I ask them what version they have.

     

    I am looking for stories like yours with a successful update to the newest version in either Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa with the correct Ford logo and color or in this area so I can go to this particular dealer with confidence that my car will be fixed properly!!

    my car got updated on friday Jan 21, with this

     

    Sync Version Gen2 - V2.4<BR itxtvisited="1">Confirmed installations <BR itxtvisited="1">BT4T-14D546-AD

     

     

    they told me this was the fastest and latest software available to date,it solved response time issues and remote start problems also,i got it done in leamington ,ontario, like many other dealers around there, they kept my car twice with no updates donne to it until they got a hold of a Ford sync teck (that descended on earth)and asked to have a look at my car and finaly got it donne.<BR itxtvisited="1">

Please contact them and schedule an appointment to bring in your vehicle for them to perform the update to your Ford My Touch system.     the same happend to me i had almost the same e-mail ,so i put the same question to a keith and a John from sync support center they gave the same exact answer,the i called my dealer and they also said that they have no update to install and this was Dec.08 2010

  3. as previousely posted by me ,i'm yet to find the place to insert the real key blade (for those with push start button) that allows you to start the engine ,after reading the quick guide manual that stated this :

    Push button start

    (if equipped)

    Allows you to start your vehicle without a key by pressing the ENG INE START /STO P button while

    pressing the brake pedal, provided your intelligent access key (IA key, if equipped) is inside the vehicle.

    If necessary, you can also start your car by inserting the IA key into the back-up slot located in your

    center console. Simply insert the IA key into the slot with the buttons facing you and the key ring up.

    Press the brake pedal and then press the ENG INE START /STO P button to start your vehicle as

    usual. You can remove the IA key from the backup slot once the vehicle is started, if desired.

     

  4. I came across yet another glitch.audio visualizer.....When you enter the Audio Settings menu, watch closely at the top of the display and you'll see the "Audio Visualizer ON/OFF" menu setting show up for about 1 second, and then magically disappear. In some cases, you can even press the ON or OFF button, but it doesn't appear to do anything. anybody care to shed some light on this?

  5. like i said i'm reporting on my update

    aperently at my dealer my system cheks ok nothing needs attention, what a bunch of crap because i previously made sync support center know how i was feeling about the myford touch and how it was behaving,and i got a response from a keith at sync support center agreeing that there is issues with the system and they're working at it,together with the misterious vanishing of the update ,don't you guys agree that smells fishy.also the idiots wanted me to pay for the instalation of the update and could'n tell me what was being updated

  6. i just got this update for my car hyper.gif BT4T-14D544-BD Version SYNC GEN 2 update i guess my old version of sync was 1.3 anybody else got this or i'm i behind on updates, just last week i got in contact with ford's Customer Relationship Center and they assured me that my car had the latest updates, therefore i think this must be the so desired and talked update that everybody's waiting for. I have to go to the dealer to install it.happy%20feet.gif

  7. so what the hell was all the advertising about ! being able to get to your car and inset a usb stick or sd card and view your pictures and video ,also scroll the cd with gracenote 3d carousel album art bla bla bla...i think ford need's alot of explanation about all those claims .so far i can't see any pictures or video clips thru these inputs... it started with the programing of the so caled inteligent key ,i folowed the manual instructions to realize time after time that nothing had changed on my car,if it was'nt for the good people in this forum that somehow found out that not folowing the manual and instead skiping step 4 and wait 20 seconds befor hitting the unlock button on the key programing sequence i would still be folowing the instructions and thinking that i was the stupid one........hope that updates come soon for all these minor glitchs and ford tells people that these things are happening.

  8. is there sutch feature like a user profile in the 2011 edge limited in canada, that when you activate your personal ikt key all the settings that you had set before came back when you re enter tha car after somebody else has used it ( i know about seats and mirrors ,but what about ambient lights and sound ,wallpaper etc.)
