I have a sound coming from the front right strut area. I had a seal replace a while back and it is getting worse. It sounds like the rubber seat at the top of the strut is moving a little,especially while turning. Does the top of the strut need to be pulled down and the rubber lubed on the top?

07 Edge................going on since it was brand new. It sounds as though I have something loose in the suspension, like a shock or strut. It's been checked every time I have it serviced, nothing found.

 

This is not a severe sound, just subtle, and it seems to decrease as the vehicle is driven a few miles, like it the tires are hard when cold. (Hankooks) This Edge does not have a quite, smooth suspension system.

 

Anyone have similar experiences???

I have a simular sound. I noticed it after the dealer had to fix a right front drive shaft seal. It sounds like the rubber at the top of the strut is rubbing wear it is touching the mounting point. I wonder if this needs to be lube before they put it back on after fixing the shaft seal? I hear it more when I first start to drive it or turning while coming into the driveway. Anyone have an idea for helping with this?
