Yeah it's probably just the rails, I had this problem in my other FoMoCo car.

I bought my wife a 2010 Edge SEL AWD for Christmas. In 2005, I swore off Fords due to quality issues with past Explorers and pickups. My wife really wanted an Edge, so I decided to give it a try. To date ( 2 weeks) I have been extrememely impressed by the features and driveability of this vehicle. This morning, we got a few inches of snow in MN, when I headed up the street ( hill), the car was spinning and the traction control was kicking in. That seemed odd, so I stopped and tried to get going again on a hill. Front wheels were spinning and the rears did nothing. Until this point, the AWD had worked flawlessly. In fact it was one of the best vehicles I have ever driven in the snow/ice. I have an appointment at the dealer tomorrow, but I thought I would throw it out here to see if anyone else has had a similar issue.
Thanks in advance.
A PTO failure isn't out of the question.

I knew I recognized the name from Audizine..
I probably would have gone for a EDGE Sport or A CX-9 so the change wouldn't be so relaxed and rolly
Anyhow I hope you're happy with your purchase

TCM probably went bye bye. Usually transmissions don't fail like this, the transmission's shifting is controlled by a computer.

That or something was disconnected. Retrace all of your steps and check all the fuses..

320MM I'm pretty sure

Get the Redstuff pads, they're suited way better to the EDGE's curb weight.
And the larger rotors are for AWD EDGE models. FWD is 290mm if I recall correctly.

Welcomeee
As far as the PTU, who knows..

No PIX??????

Comfortable and quite in 22" size don't go well. Expect often replacement of the tires too. Road damage gets to them way easier, etc. not for someone that wants nice and quite with long wear.
-
That's a god awful deal. Don't take it. RUN away from it.

No, that's not the norm with any Shuffle. Too simple of a device for SYNC capabilities.
-
Lowering it just like that, you're likely to get a rougher ride. And I'm not sure if any of the aftermarket kits get that low on stock struts and shocks.
-
Try getting it on video, or making sure it could be reproduced easily.

Do you think I'm excited?
Thanks,

Until you have to replace those Pirellis...
Welcome!

Well the 18" chrome clad wheels that we're standard on all 2007 SEL+ look great
-
Welcome..
EBC has pads out, redstuff would be best for the EDGE.
-
Welcome.
I personally like the 18" dark gray wheels, the name escapes me right now but they're hot.
-
That's odd, because they're larger rotors on the AWD models.
-
With how much Ford is loving chrome lately you'd think they would find an extremely reliable supplier for it. Bubbling on the grille is not good, I'd imagine it's not terribly expensive to replace but still.
-
Nope, because ambient lighting didn't appear until the 09 model year and I have the 08 manuals.
Ok so I need some info on the braking systems. Does the shop manual note the differences between the FWD and AWD Ford EDGE's? I know the rotor is bigger but what else is?

wwest is a cancer that is all over the internets. It's best to avoid his posts, they're nonsense.
I can't wait to testdrive this new EcoBoost engine. I love turbos and I LOVE turbos with low end torque. The only problem here would be in city MPG, it'll vary a lot and I can forsee the complaints already
