I just ordered a set from them. Hopefully I'll be seeing them soon! I got a blacked out housing, with red halo and red accents. They have a bunch of different pics on their page. They reply pretty quick and answered all my questions.

Hey whiteis33, do you have a gallery of different versions you've done? Do you do swaps or would I not have headlights for a week while you are working on this project? I want to darken my headlights (perhaps blacked out to match my 2013 Sport grill), and adding angel eye rings or LED strips would be awesome if it looked clean. I have the HID upgrade and all of my bulbs have been replaced by LEDs, so the front turn signals are switchback superwhite (parking) / amber (turn signal) "intelligent" SMDs (no hyper-blinking).

 

I don't like the chrome strip above the grill, and I which the headlights were a bit darker to match as well.

 

Let me know what you can do. I couldn't message you directly since I'm new to the forums (my car is only a few weeks old). ;P

What does something like this cost? Can you also do an HID retrofit with the headlight mod?

ive seen those as well, from past experience those projectors are decent I have heard of the reflector bowl chipping from the heat if you have HIDs

Can It be assumed that you have not yet figured out how to retrofit the newer (amber turn) rear light units into an older Edge yet?

Looks awesome! How did you get the head lights apart for painting? I heard that the glue has a higher melting temp than the housing itself, so baking is out of the question...

combination of heat and cutting 9 times of 10 gets these to come apart

Okay. can you take out those bolts and tabs easily? I've heard some say you need more than just basic tools...

yup all basic tools. Dont be afraid if it makes a loud noise when you pull it in, its just the clips unclipping

taking the bumper off is very easy.

after you take out 3 5mm bolts on each fender liner, and 2 10mm bolts (along with 4 screw tabs) pull firmly where the bumper and fender meet (it might sounds like it breaks but its the clip popping out)

is it hard to install the headlights on the 07-10 edges? I'm looking to get new projectors but I'm hesitant to take off the bumper...I don't want to break anything!

So I finally got a set of 08-10 Edge headlights (my cousin wanted a black out for now) while I was painting the bezel, I took a few pics of what it would look like with a basic retrofit.

The LED strip on the bottom does not look that bright, are they more as a running light and not a DRL ??

 

The Halos look nice.

+1 on the LED brightness. If those were brighter it would be very nice! I do love the halos

I can put brighter LEDs in but the customer wanted some that couldnt be seen and also wanted it to run the whole bottom of the light.

I did a few lights over the last few weeks for members on here.

Second is a Ford Edge Sport

They wanted a stock chrome housing with halos and a LED strip on the bottom

how well did that hold up? Looks like a great job

we had the cobalt dipped for about 8-9 months (all winter and most of summer) and it held up fine through car washes etc. Just remember to do A LOT of layers.. it makes taking off the dip a whole lot easier. I kept the dip on for 1 month on my IS300 (white dip was hard to keep clean)

and I have plastidipped a whole car haha
