  1. 1" over all bigger = .5 " from the hub. Does not seem very much to me. Should fit. Thanks for the reference. Most vehicles can handle 1 size larger I've been told. Will know for sure this Friday. I will post the outcome in case anyone else wants to know.

  2. Looks like the Michelin will be 1” taller and .01” wider. The Kuhmo will turn 661 times in a mile the Mich will turn 693.

There sure is a lot of difference between these tires??? Or did I pick the wrong tires?

  3. I've checked the speedo and it has me faster than actual speed by about 4 MPH. So if it picks up son speed, I would be happy. This vehicle is terrible in snow (FWD) so after extensive research, I really want the Kuhmo SAT KL61 but is on national backorder till somtime in Jan. The Mich LTX MS2 is a close second and is readily available. So if it fits...life is great.

  4. I wouldn't myself as the 235/70/17 is too tall for your application and although it may fit, it will throw your speedo off.

I would suggest using the Michelin Cross Terrain SUV in the correct size if you want to go with Michelin.

If not I would suggest looking at the Goodyear Fortera TripleTred or even the General Grabber HTS.

  5. That's odd. I live in Louisville, KY and we get some snow but not like Buffalo. In 2-3 inches, my 2008 FWD Edge won't go anywhere. 2nd worst snow vehicle i've owned. I blame the tires that appear to have a poor snow tread on them. Considering Mich LTX MS2 235/70-17s if they will fit. Mich does not make them in 235/65-17s.

  6. I just wanted to share my impressions of my new 2011 Edge (FWD) in the snow and ice. I live in Buffalo and we got our first snow fall of the year, about 6 inches. The roads in the neighborhood weren't plowed, and had a 2-3 inches of snow and ice mix. Like my wife's 2010 Escape (FWD), the Edge plowed through the conditions with ease. Further confirming that All Wheel Drive is basically an option that's overpriced and rarely, if ever, needed.

  7. Hi all

I just joined this forum and have owed a 2008 Egde SEL FWD for 2 years. Starting to have minor issues, and as expected, do not get solid answers from the dealer.

I look forward to hearing from the real world of experience as I post questions.

By the way...really like the car so far with 62000 miles on it.
