FYI, I was unable to perform the update on my Android but it worked like a dream on my laptop w/bluetooth!

For what it's worth, I can confirm that i was able to successfully use the $21 tool in the link above along with the Windows version of Forscan to restore the gridlines, it took less than a minute.

Hi Go, in my case one morning (after 4 years of perfect service) it just went dead - got the message on the MyTouch screen about camera fault, take to dealer. Good luck!

Is a specific download needed to program the grid lines back onto the rear view camera display? How do I change just that one setting without affecting anything else? I have Forscan Lite and the Bluetooth ODBSII interface. Thanks!

I wanted to thank all who have contributed to this thread. I have just replaced my camera using the guidance provided b xK317Hx (cut slot into screw) as an alternative, I used a small speed nut to replace the ridiculous screw, see pic:

I did lose my gridlines but hope to gain those back with the Forscan tool. Does anyone know if there is a way to refurb the old camera? it would be nice to get some of my $315 back!

I first ordered (then subsequently returned) my Gray WeatherTech liners in my 2011 Light Stone Edge. The Gray was too gray for the light interior, rather than try to match a shade of gray, I switched to the tan and have been happy since.

Not if you're buying out. If you decide to turn it in though, they want it back how they gave it to you.

Hey all, I finally got around to posting pictures of my Edge in the Photo Gallery. Let me know what you think!

I run a body shop - thus painting the lower cladding is a far easier and more economical route for me versus the 3D carbon body kit. We've had a lot of success color matching lower claddings on other vehicles - it just requires the right procedures and products to be used.

Can you clarify the correct process for painting the lower cladding? Listing the products as well (which type of primer, cleaner,paint, etc) So far as I know it is:

1) remove parts from vehicle

2) clean with warm soapy water

3) dry throughly

4) scuff with a scotch brite pad

5) warm the part

6) prime

7) paint

8) clear coat

9) reinstall

your cheapest way to get the sport look would use the rocker molding and door bottoms from 3D carbons 2007-2010 edge body kit, about $500 on the internet. the front lower valance can be swapped directly with the paintable sport models, as can the lower rear valance. then, either get a new grill or paint your existing grill tuxedo black. The textured plastic that Ford uses for the unpainted lowers is not suitable for painting. even once prepared it releases some type of oil or resin which creates paint adhesion problems. get primed paintable parts from the beginning and save yourself the headache and expense.

I ordered my Edge LTD in Earth Metallic, and before I took delivery, I had the dealer install the Piano Black grill (like the Sport). Next stop was my buddies body shop where I had all the lower black cladding removed and painted to match the rest of the car. I'm happy with my one of a kind Edge !

On my window sticker the date at the bottom, is the current date whenever i view the sticker (it changes) On the good news front, this morning I see that Sync was loaded to the vehicle today, so does that suggest that it is nearing the end of being built and getting ready to ship?

One more thing, my VIN status shows that the vehicle is "bucked" does that mean it is through the assembly process?

I just got mine and I have the same date of 01 17 11 on my window sticker. I put my VIN on the other forum and was told it was scheduled to start production on January 24. So I'm guesssing you will be in the same production run. Should show up on syncmyride late next week once they get to that phase. Dealer says they expect arrival mid to late February so not real helpful. I like you want to get my best financing in place before I go get the vehicle. If Ford wants my business I'm happy to give them one shot to give me their absolute best offer making it clear that I already have financing that I'm happy with and they need to give me their very best offer and I will only give them once shot.

Most incentives are only valid if they're in effect when you take delivery, not when you order. Unless this was a special offer of some type from Ford then you may not be eligible for that rebate. Better double check with the dealer.

On my order sheet the "Manufacturer Rebate" is listed as $1500, if when the Edge comes in he renigs on that, I'll just walk away I put no money down

Kirby, I'm in the US - Ford had a $1500 back incentive through Jan 3 2011 - i'm not sure when it started.

Mrs. Thomas, what are the "more incentives" that are now in effect? I ordered my Edge on 12/31 and it is due in on Feb. 7th, but the only incentive I know of is the $1500 cash back that Ford was offering until the end of the year (2010) also can you tell me where to get the brochure and the $750 coupon?

As an anxious future owner, I check one of the Window Sticker sites daily. This morning my Sticker is now available!!! :yup: Does that mean that the vehicle has been built and in the shipping phase? - the VIN number does not yet work on SyncMyRide.com

I went back and forth on the SEL vs. Limited several times. In the end, the clean look of the Sony radio and the color matched door handles won me over. I also ordered the Tuxedo black front grill to tone down the Chrome front end a bit. When the vehicle comes in, I am having the dealership paint the lower black plastic panels the same color as the body (earth metallic) to further personalize it.
