Sounds like the actuator or "trap door" is malfunctioning. Maybe something is blocking the door but it's strange that it works fine when not splitting the air flow. Service appointment time.........good luck !

I actually sold it before winter... I have had my eye on a 2011 GT500 for a while... I might pull the trigger this spring time.

Hi guys I have just over 1900 miles on my new edge. Everything is great since the sync gen 2 upgrade accept one thing...

When I set the vents to blow air through both the lower and upper vents at the same time. It sounds like its blocked makes a big whiring noise. No air comes out through the bottom and only a small amount of air comes out through the main vents even if the fan makes a lot of noise....almost sounds as if its blocked. But if I want air through just the bottom or just the main vents it works fine and no whiring noise. Which makes me think its blocked when its on both at the same time.

Has this happened to anyone else or has anyone else noticed this problem? I am going to take the car to the dealer but I wanted to double check to see if it was something that I could fix on my own first.

Do you now have a Lincoln Logo for yoru default wallpaper? Are your ambient colors switched around and show a GREY Color now?

No all my ambient colors are in the right order and show the correct color.

I was nervous about picking up my 2011 Edge. I had the dealer do the gen 2 sync upgrade to the car before I picked it up... and I can honestly say its awesome.

I have tested pretty much everything and everything is working perfectly.

I would highly reccomend having the ford dealership do the upgrade before you pick up your car for the first time if possible

No the fronts dont fit. The mounting tabs are an issue. The rear should be OK from what the OP said.

Does anyone have any idea when the 2011 weather tech mats are going to be out? I really want to order them.

Oh I know - just hasn't been time to go without a car. And with out major problems, why rush?

I am about to purchase a 2011 Edge with the rapid spec 302A.

I really like the car. But I have been reading about the many issues with the ford MyTouch system.

Are these issues isolated or widespread? Does the latest software update fix this problem? If not do you think that ford will get all of the issues resolved in the near future?

I don't want to buy a car that I plan to own for a while only to have to pay lots of money to have electonics fixed after its out of warranty.

How do you guys like the MyTouch system and how do you feel about its reliablity?
