Hey, so any ideas why Ford won't let computer savvy users install a 1.x to 2.0 update on their own?

A 3GB dload and mini/micro USB cable requirement plus following some steps doesn't sound too scary.

I suppose if they have bad or out of date APIMs out in some models that could break, then they would prefer the cars to be in a garage huh?

Are there any savvy or "in the know" Sync techies that are following this forum?

Anyone know why we don't get a list of what the updates have in them?

I'm interested in some HP boost too! I'm on a lease, but wouldn't mind doing some upgrades if they didn't void warranty. I'm planning to buy at end of lease anyway.

I can't get 1.2 to tether USB or reliably connect to bluetooth. I think some of the blame is on android though. It seems to work better with winmo.

I should be getting the 2 upgrade this week. I hope the dealer knows what they are doing!
