Hi,

I just took delivery on my 2011 Ford Edge and the dealer was really pushing the Maintenance Protection Plan (not to be confused with the Extended Service Plan).

The plan is supposed to cover all scheduled maintenance for the first 2 - 6 years (depending on how long you purchase for).

Have any of you bought this, and can you tell me if you would reccommend it?

Have any of you not bought this, and regretted it?

One more question, I know that you can buy these plans online, but it seems to be available only to the US. Any Canadians out there who've found a place to buy the FMPP online?

Got my window sticker on 2/14. It was dated 2/14. I know alot of pople have asked this, but does anyone know the eaxact meaning of that date? Is that the build date or just the date the sticker was printed?

 

I have a est. build date of 2/21 from my dealer. Based on their current inventory I have seen edges on the lot 2 weeks after the build date. Hoping for a 3/7 delivery.

My window sticker date was 1/31 build date 2/7 sync was installed 2/10 and arrived at the dealership 2/22. Hope this helps....Also we live in Western Canada so that included rail time from Ontario. Hope you get yours very soon

Just got the call from the dealership and my car arrived this morning!! Picking it up tomorrow!!! :hyper: :happy feet:

So i just got a delivery date for my Edge Limited for the week of Feb 28th....I ordered on Jan3/11. I was quoted 8-12 weeks and altogether it will be about 9 weeks :hyper:

I ordered on Oct 21st (maybe 25TH by the time dealer sent it in) and still waiting, I now have the VIN and the expected delivery is within 2 weeks

Amazing how some are getting theres within six weeks, it'll be nearly 14 weeks for me...!!!

That is quite a wait...I've heard that if you get a lot of add ons it can definitely take longer for delivery Although if you are getting a fully loaded edge it will be worth the wait!!! Congrats on your purchase

Great News! it should be round 4 to 6 weeks but your dealer could give you an ETA with the VIN. Is it a SEL or LImited. Are you based in the US? Here in Canada, it seems we have no VIN allocation.

I ordered my Ford Edge on Jan3/11 and I had the VIN within 2 weeks...is this a good sign?? Does anyone know how long it takes for the vehicle to be delivered once it has a VIN attached to it???

I ordered my Limited FWD with the 20' rims during boxing week and we paid $35, 300 including all taxes and fees. It did take a lot of negotiation and about 3 full days o get to that number, but we are happy and awaiting the delivery!!! :happy feet:
