DVD system?

What if you have this issue after this build date??

I think they will fit a 2011 but the stitching does not have red in it. The black leather seems to me the same.

Interested can you send me another pic of the headrest in more detail?

I have a set of Headrest DVD Players that have just been removed from a 2009 Edge. They are in excellent condition and are available immediately. These are the OEM version made by Invision and was a $1995 option. Part number #A7EDG-78611A08-AA3W. They still have the plastic film on the screens. These are adjustable and will fit other vehicles.

Will these fit in a 2011??

Must be a Canadian thing. Our SEL came with the backup camera.

I am in Canada. a 2011 SEL camera was not included nor available as an option

SO, when you have a car seat on either side, how much space is left in the middle? Is it useable?

So I've done some lurking and cant find anything so here I am asking.

We have a 2011 Ford Edge SEL AWD (in Canada). 2011's only came with the backup camera in a Limited trim. One day while backing out the Sync through up an error message referencing the rear view camera was not working correctly?? Only happened one time. Looking at the 2012 models it looks like the camera comes on SEL now.

I dont think I really need it but am curious if its an easy add on??

Do I just buy the camera and plug n play or does this require a dealer flash that they dont/wont do?? I assume the wiring must already be there??

Hey this exact same thing happened to me when I tried upgrading to 2.11! I have tried resetting MFT multiple times both by pulling the fuse and using the menu option. I have also tried downloading the update several times on several different flash drives. Every time I try to run the update I get this error message. I also cannot run the status checker.

 

The new MFT software cannot come soon enough...

 

I too cant run the staus checked either???

Thx for the advice. I will wait for the big update because v2.8 is ok for me. I submitted an address in the U.S. and hope Ford will send me the USB drive to this address. :-)

I have the same problem as you. I have tried mu;tiple downloads onto different thumb drives and it wont install.. Called Ford they walked me through it and said take it to the dealer. I wonder if the rewrite will do the same thing??

I've been riding my new(er) car high for the last week and a half, until this morning when I try to leave for work and my 08 Edge with 24k miles (that doesn't even have permanent plates yet) fails to start. I've been looking around this forum and others looking for solutions. I charged the battery, switched keys, tried locking/unlocking in case I tripped the anti-theft system...nothing. The interior/dash lights are a bit wonky...a few times everything comes on, other times they fade in and out. When I turn the key all the way, I just get a clicking sound. The battery terminal does have a good amount of corosion.

 

Any ideas? I'd like to avoid having to tow it in for service already. I'm also worried that they won't find any error codes, and I only have 2 months left on the full warranty.

In that case disconnect your battery and clean the posts and/or terminal clamps......reattach tightly and try that.....seems thats a likley issue. You should also invest in some dithium grease and coat both clamps to prevent further corrosion. Try that first and post back.

Can not order BAMR and rails upto 2011, Ford wont sell either,

I have just purchased a used 2010 Ford Edge Limited with the dual panel panoramic roof option. Not necessarily what I wanted, but it was what was on the lot and the wife liked it. But I need roof rails and crossbars if I want to throw stuff on the roof like lumber, my kayak or a Christmas tree. The parts department at my dealership didn't think Ford made after manufacture roof rails compatible with the panoramic roof panel. Does anybody know whether or not that's an option? Where could I get them and about what would it cost?

I really wish this was in out SEL, thanks to what I read on here and Ford's crappy web site I thought I had them. Really really miss them from our Jeep GC but life goes on.

I call BS.....We ordered ours end of April and took delivery this past Wednesday. Factory order loaded SEL AWD (minus cargo package)

I bet dealer sold yours to another customer whom was willing to pay more.

 

I told Ford that I can't understand how a car can have a good rollover safety rating and can't carry more than 100# (110# actually). on the roof. They didn't have an answer. According to a local EMT, all cars have to be able to support the weight of the car by the roof--but only with the windows up!

The 2010 Edge missed out on a Top Safety Pick last year after receiving an "Acceptable" score in IIHS roof-strength tests. The old design could support 3.5 times its overall vehicle weight, which was shy of the highest possible "good" rating that requires the roof to withstand four times the vehicle's weight. After coming up short in the test, Ford immediately improved the design and created a roof that withstands 4.7 times the vehicle's weight, surpassing IIHS standards.

Not sure about price but you will be waiting until Aug/Sep for a 2012. Were in Canada are you? Did you search dealer inventory around you for the configuration you are looking for? I know the dealer I purchased from (north Toronto) seems to have many Edge's in stock....at least when you search their inventory on line.

I have seen many AWD on dealer lots since I picked mine up in March. The link below indicated the AWD orders are built out for 2011 model year. This came out in early March.

I think your dealer may have got your order in before the deadline which I believe was around March 11th for AWD orders. I will try to find the link. My dealer confirmed this to me when I picked my 2011 AWD limited up a week ago.

 

Although it has been only a week, I am loving my Edge so far. I am not experiencing any of the issues some members have been having with MFT although there is a bit of lag. I don't know if you are an iphone user but I would compare the lag to an iphone 3GS after using a 4G. Maybe Job 2 has made some improvements to the MFT?

I just ordered mine on may 4, 2011 so not sure about deadline???

What did you find out? I am in the same boat. Sure the dealer isnt scewing me over but want to make sure too

I made my deal Last Aug when we had employee pricing, Limited FWD with Drivers Entry($1000 for the keyless entry, IA Keys, push Ignition, and power liftgate) ($1850 for the canadian touring which included the power vista moonroof and voice activated NAV) total was slightly under 37000 plus tax. Hope it helps.
