I'm working on my Wife's 08 (not AWD, no towing package), and it does have a separate trans cooler. It was readily available at the local dealer, and he didn't ask a lot of questions, so I assume that it was standard, at least in '08. I've removed the bumper cover and can hold the old cooler in my (drenched with tranny fluid) hands, so I know I got the right part, but I cannot disconnect the lines. I've got the usual fuel & AC line tool, but the lines have a swaged "bump" close to the connection that prevents me from getting the tool on. Any thoughts?
