  1. Bumper Protector Info:

Thanks to this site I have sold hundreds of Edge/MKX bumper savers. Unfortunately I have taken the product temporarily off the market due to quality issues from my current supplier. I am currently shopping for a new supplier, but everyone I have contacted is giving me cost figures of more than double of what I was paying. If I am able to bring this product back to market the cost will be double of what I am charging now. Thanks for everyone's support and stay tuned!

  2. At aslauto.com. It's talked about earlier in this thread. Email Josephine. Mine cost 34.95 (Raised prices I guess).

    Hi Everyone,

Thank you for supporting the "Bumper Saver". It has been a while since I have posted any updates, sorry, so here goes. I have had to raise the price to $34.95 due to the products raw materials being based with petroleum. The two tubes that I send along with the bumper savers are not adhesive. They are adhesion promoters for the 3M double faced tape, which makes the bumper saver near impossible to remove. We have been shipping the product via Fed Ex ground and it runs around $9.00 to a residential address. We have sold about 40 of these items and I thank everyone for their support.

  3. I have been installing Homelink systems( same as 2008 factory installations) in 2007 Edge and MKX and was wondering if this is an item members of this board would be interested in??

The system is EXACTLY the same brand and installed in the EXACT spot as the 2008 model. We have black, tan and gray available for $199 installed(plus shipping).

I would have anyone interested remove their visor and ship it to me, once we receive the visor we would install the Homelink system and ship it back within 48 hours. There is nothing you need to do with the visor once it has been modified, other than plug in your origal vanity mirror lamp(required) and replace the screws.

I am intersted in any feedback---

    Even from Clubwagon ;-)

  4. For those that bought the bumper protector from aslauto - any issues with the rear hatch coming in contact with the protector? Body gaps just aren't what they used to be... :shades:

For those that bought the protector from Ford - any issues with durability/scuffing?

The ASL bumper protector does NOT have any issues with the rear hatch.

Thank you for your positive feedback.

    Rear Bumper Protector

    Part Number: 7T4Z-17B807-AA

    MSRP: $55.00

Affix this scuff-resistant vinyl applique to the top of your vehicle’s rear bumper in order to help protect the upper surface from paint damage that can occur during the loading and unloading of cargo.

    Fits:

    Ford Edge 2008 2007

Without any disrespect to Ford Motor Company or ClubwagonXLT-- But that item is a joke compaired to mine. It is more expensive and half the quality of mine. Take a good look at my photos and decide for yourself along with more than 20 board members :hyper:

  6. Negotiated for this at close of sale. My Explorer had Chrome/Composite bumpers and could take (and did!) just about anything. Not these bumpers. I'll be happy to have it installed. Until it's installed and the cargo mat comes in, my dog can't go ;)

I have sold a few of these item to board members, please post your opinion of the product once you have installed it.

  7. Well, just look at the picture of the outside of the sunroof. You can see the silicon beading under the frame, the frame doesn't sit flush with the roof, and it looks like an add on, not something from the factory.

If you want a sunroof, bite the bullet and get the factory installed BAMR. The cost will only add on $10 or so to your car payment. You really aren't saving money in the long run, because you will end up spending the same amount down the road when the after market roof starts leaking, which it will.

I am not selling a sunroof kit, just wanted to post some pics of aftermarket items.

  8.

I think they look awesome! Do these have any "function" to them or is it just purely cosmetic?

Thanks for the compliment. They are basiclly for looks, but do aid in the release of heat from the engine compartment.

I own an automotive aftermarket company in NY that designed and install these for local dealers. If you are interested check out my website( aslauto.com)

  9. Went to your website and couldn't find the item or picture. Post the url where this item is.

This item is taking off faster than I can get it on my site  . Please give me another day. My site is not capable of accepting orders for this item, yet! If you are interested please call my office (914) 633-1550 and ask for Josephine.

This item is a very nice piece. It is made in the USA of a black rubber material and came with 3M tape and adhesion promoter.

I will post a pic by tomorrow morning.

  12. I found a great product for the Edge and MKX rear bumper. This item is called a Bumper Saver. It is made of a black rubberized compound, looks like the bumper pad found on a Explorer, is easy to install and only cost me $29.95. This item is so nice that I am considering distributing the item. If anyone is interested shoot me an email and I will forward a photo. If you are interested please call my office (914) 633-1550 and ask for Josephine.
