  1. Well, My wifes 2015 Edge sport is back in again for leaking oil pan, Found 1st oil leak when doing the 1st oil change, they ordered a new pan. Was great for 4-5 months, no leak or anything. Then 3 weeks ago, I find a large oil spill on my driveway, looked under the edge and the whole pan is wet. Took it to the dealer, they order another pan only to see before installing it that the pan mating surface is not even flat. So they try to order another pan its on back order. This is still going on for 2.5 weeks. They are predicting to get it in at the end of this week.. Lets hope.IMG_20170114_113605.jpg

  2. Its good to hear that the problems were identified and repaired without issue Rob! I hope you and your wife have been enjoying your new Edge!

I'm now waiting for my titanium to ship as I think the build is nearing/finished completion. Just out of curiosity, what kind of issues were found on your Edge?

Sure, Here are some pictures of my wifes Edge along with the card left in the vehicle.

I am good friends with the dealer so when my edge came in they took the picture for me.

Here is it when I picked it up. They didn't detail or anything as I wanted to do that. PDI was all they did.

Now here is the card that was in the vehicle. Now the door/paint issue I was concerned but I cannot tell at all that it was repaired. Looks Perfect!! So I am a happy camper! (please excuse my dirty hands, I was doing house chores outside when I found out my edge had arrived).

  3. Those fog lights are awesome....I can't believe the current edge doesn't have/offer them. I hope that they will carry over to the 2016 model that is sold stateside. Update on my titanium.....I have had the vehicle for almost 8 weeks, have 7963 miles on it. I am averaging combined mpg of 24.4 which includes at least 6 hours of weekly driving at about 80mph here in Michigan. If you don't drive80 here, you will get rear ended! I also have a lot of "idle" time as the car is my office. My DTE keeps consistently going up. Yesterday I filled up and DTE was 437 miles with MY driving habits. So based on my personal experience, I have say that there is indeed a "breakin" period with this engine and transmission. One thing that I am disappointed is that Ford is all about technology, and they do have a lot of it, but how in the world does Chevy have wifi in all its cars according to a tv commercial, and Ford doesn't at this point is beyond me....I would think that this would be a no brainier and easy to accomplish. These things are $40,000+ and they don't have it, but an Aveo has it....

Personally, I am glad Ford doesn't put in wifi, as over time technology changes, or maybe the carrier they use doesn't work well in your area. I would rather just use my phone as a hotspot and be done. That is what I have done in the past and it works great. Plus I don't want another cell data plan just for the car. Its like Onstar. I like how Ford does it, use the phone that almost everyone has.

  4. I just got my wifes White Edge Sport. It was made on May 7th but wasn't delivered till this past friday. (I live about 2 hours from the plant). A contact I have told me that they are sending a bunch of edges to Windsor for repair. There are lots of different reasons for repair. In my edge, there was a card with notes from the technician on the line pointing out issues that have to be repaired. On my edge, there was 3 issues. They were all repaired and looks like nothing ever happened.
