  1. Hi, here is the next part, the installation of the camera.

This was the first place for testing. It's ok, but not very good.

Then I considered the Ford logo detail. There are two pieces. The edge of the Ford logo is the same angle for the camera lens.

    I disassembled the camera body.

Then I drilled with a tap drill a hole as big as the camera lens.

The remaining space for the camera is carefully removed with a small cutter(Dremel).

Then I have fixed the camera with tape and hot glue.

Then the rest of the camera is sealed with Sikaflex.

  2. Hi Guys,

sorry for the delay, but the business comes first... :hyper:

Here is the next part, the connection on the MFT.

I have used a Kenwood CMOS-310, but you can use another aftermarket camera. The videosignal from the OEM camera on the Ford Edge is a simple FBAS Signal(no RGB). So you can use the input from the MFT without a interface. Connect the camera to ground and ignition.

I used a relay with 2 changeover contacts. At rest the signal comes from the front camera, in reverse gear the signal comes from the rear camera. Precondition is, you must enable the "delay" in the rear camera menu on the MFT. The picture of the front camera comes as long as you drive less than 5 mph.

You can find the connector C213 under the steering wheel.

Connect the relay coil to ground and the other side to the cable for the reversing lamps. The cable is blue/white. You can find it in harness for the rear under the cover from the entry. Use a multimeter to find the right cable.

If you have any question, there you go.

  3. Hi, I have installed a Kenwood CMOS-310 Multiview camera in front of my Edge. The picture form the camera comes on the display on MFT.

    Here is a short video.

The first view is the backupcamera, the second is the frontcamera with Super wide view(190°).

I can change the view with a button.

In the next week I will make a little instructions for installation.
