    Hi,

     

    I'm a bit confused about the remote starter kits for my 2011 Edge SEL (basic model with Key ignition start).

    Ford offers three types (http://accessories.ford.com/electronics/remote-start.html):

     

    Part No: BT4Z-19G364-A => $298.57 : Bi-Directional Plug-N-Play

    Part No: BC3Z-19G364-A => $228.57 : 100 Series Plug-N-Play

    Part No: BB5Z-19G364-C => $355.71 : 200 Series Plug-N-Play

     

    I'd like install the 3rd model on my 2011 Edge SEL but my car has Key ignition start (not push-button) and I'm curious if the BB5Z-19G364-C would work with my car.

     

    Perhaps I have a hard time interpreting the vehicle note below...

    ("BB5Z-19G364-C", Vehicle Notes: Requires Hood Switch Kit if vehicle not equipped with hood switch. Edge/MKX - With Push Button Start)
