  1. has anyone had this come up in a 2008 awd edge? My truck was fine, did a wash on it since the weather was nice, started it up, moved it to its spot in the driveway, turned it off like normal, and everything was fine.

Today went to start it up, had the abs, the tps the trac control light and wrench all on.

Did a scan, no engine codes are listing, so i dug into the abs, and the c1175 code pops up.

curious to see who else has had this code, and what it turned out to be

    Thanks

  2. basically i want it for a bit of everything, we all want it to perform better, and we want them to have better feel and bite....looks are last on the list, due to the wheels and you cant see shit anyway.

where did you get your powerstop kit? and what braided lines, and pads are you using?

  3. I just did a 1.75 f/r lower on my edge the other day, and the ride is VERY noticeably stiffer.... not to sure how i like it yet, but the wallowing around of the stock one I didnt care for either.

So I may add the rear sway bar, and see how much extra that stiffens up the vehicle and then decide to keep or not keep the lowering springs installed..

Does anyone here have the sway bar installed?

  4. what does the part #'s mean?? or id #

ive seen some that are ID 8T4T-10849-EA or ID 8T4T-10849-EB or ID 8T4T-10849-FC etc....

i need to replace a customers cluster, but im not to sure what these stand for, and if there is any differences.....

also from what i can find, 2008 says its year specific.. is this true?

    Thanks

  5. When I had my 2008 Edge, I updated the NAV, not sure of the version... but I can check the Disk and see if I can figure out what version it is. Seems like I had 6x from the factory and this is 7 or 8. Looks like Navteq is up to 10p. I am happy to send it to you as I don't need it in my new Edge.

Thank you... anything upgraded over what it is should help.... id love if someone here had the 10p..... even if we all pitched in and purchased a 10p... then gave it to one another, would take the bs 200 dollars down to something reasonable

  6. You could always acquire one legally from navteq.com

sure if they feel like sending a tube of lube as well.... its a total scam and bs to pay 200 dollars for an upgrade so your nav, an option you paid big dollars for, is actually useful

when i purchased my escalade years ago, it came with free nav upgrades for the 5 years it had warranty.... ford might want to take a hint in that direction

  7. I had H&R springs put on my MKX when I bought it. The dealer I bought it from installed them & did the alignment at the time of install. I don't know if they used a kit or not. I've had the car for nearly 3 years & no abnormal tire wear or other problems have occured. The springs do make the car ride a little stiffer, but the handling is increased noticably.

do you guys know what the stock spring rate is... vs say eibach or h&r.....

also a friend of mine has some springtech springs he said i can have.... does anyone have any experience with them?

  8. hid are generally about 75% brighter then standard halogen lights... they project further, they are brighter, they are cleaner, they have a focused cut off line on the road ( if in projectors )

personally i would not buy the factory hid system, UNLESS the difference is that the non hid models do not come with projectors... if they do, then save the money and put them in yourself, or have someone who knows how to....
