Yes typically as a part gets revised it receives this suffix to distinguish it. I am sorry but I do not know if dealer programming is required for this specific part.

Benny, I have a Ford Edge and a 2015 Escape SE w/1.6 Turbo. I need a APIM module for the Escape but the Part number on the box I removed is not coming up in the search on your Ford dealership website. The part number is fJ5T-14D212-AA and my VIN is 1fmcu0gx6fub18734. It was manufactured in Jan. 2015. Are there other compatible part numbers that will work. I even considered a used one on ebay but again I'm not having luck with that part number. Also, after installing a replacement module, will I have to get it programmed at my local Ford dealer? Hi, I have a 2011 Edgw SEL. I have had issues with the MFT from week two after we got the Edge new. Last week the MFT 8" had the Black Screen of Death and did not reboot as it has done in the past by disconnecting the battery, Fuse or main line to the fuse block. I wish I had known about the FSAN: 12M02. I would have been at the dealer the next day they opened the door back in 2014.

 

 

 

I have pulled the APIM out and see PN: BT4T-14D212-AJ on the screen plug side of the APIM and BT4T-14F239-CJ on the cables plug side of the APIM. In FSAN: 12M02 states PN: ---- 14D212 ---. Will any APM with the 14D212 in the middle work? I have my As Built data from Ford web site. Forscan states Part number: BT4T-14D212-AJ (latest known: EA5T-14D212-GA). Do I need to look for a EA5T-14D212-GA? Can not find that...

 

 

 

I was at the dealer getting oil change and walked over to the Parts Department. They told me I needed a PN: BT4Z-14D212-AC. This number goes to an Explorer and not an Edge as I look on the Parts web site. I also can not find one on ebay. Again, is all that matters the 14D212 in the part? I want to do the used part from like an ebay pull due to the cost.

 

 

 

What APIM's will sub for this one? After learning I would like to also have one I can program the tire pressure to and ad the NAV code and put in a A8 map SD.

I am in Calgary Canada with a failed APIM module on my 2011 ford edge sel.

Part Id BT4T-14D212-AN

The dealer is quouting me CAD 2000 which I cannot affordat this moment

But they told me if I could find an used APIM with a matching ID and they could programme it for me for $500, they also said there is no guarantee that will work.

Can you pls advice me on your experience and is there any revision on the orginal part ID mentioned above.

This specific type of part is not offered for sale online from retailers like ourselves. It needs to be sourced from your local dealership but this does not mean you cannot shop around over the phone with dealerships in your area. The Suggested List Price from Ford is 650.67 and the old unit is most likely required in exchange.

Does anyone know how to find out what the item number is on my APIM? I keep seeing numbers like this on used items..........ID BT4T-19C107-AA thru AP I need to know if these are universal parts and I need to only match the year, make and model or do I need a specific item number? My interpretation of "GTDI" from what I have researched is Gasoline Turbo Direct Injection which is correct for your 2.0 EcoBoost. The BRB-173 is the equivalent to F2GZ-2005-F so yes the correct one as per the SSM was installed.

According to SSM-45857, they are supposed to use F2GZ-2005-E - which equates to BRB 172 to my understanding.

Actually from the SSM I find that F2GZ-2005-F should be used. Here is a screenshot of the SSM

In the future if you have a SSM or TSB please let me know as this is not shown with the replacement parts data.

I'm looking around online for a used one ($500+ for a new one is a little out of my price range right now) but cant find this part number.

Right now, im just curious what other members experiences with replacing the APIM are with getting a used one.

I was told that as long as the "14D212" is the same, then I will be able to have ford reprogram it to my vehicle. Can anyone confirm this is true for me please?
