So I've done some lurking and cant find anything so here I am asking.

 

We have a 2011 Ford Edge SEL AWD (in Canada). 2011's only came with the backup camera in a Limited trim. One day while backing out the Sync through up an error message referencing the rear view camera was not working correctly?? Only happened one time. Looking at the 2012 models it looks like the camera comes on SEL now.

 

I dont think I really need it but am curious if its an easy add on??

 

Do I just buy the camera and plug n play or does this require a dealer flash that they dont/wont do?? I assume the wiring must already be there??

Ok, so my wife just purchased a 2011 SEL platinum white FWD. Good deals are around now on the 2011's but we were left with limited supply and this one comes with the 18" clad chrom rims.

We pick it up on Wed, and they are putting on the new winter tires and rims that were a bonus this month.

I am dissapointed that Ford soaks us $600 for some crappy plastic hub caps that are glued on!

I think I'm going to call the salesman tomorrow and get them to dump those rims and give me stock/non upgraded 18"s then spend $540 and get THESE from Tirerack.

What do you guys/girls think?

Bought my 2011 Limited FWD in December - Still lovin' it.

 

The only problem for me, bugs.

 

Geez the big a$$ nose on this thing catches a lot of bugs.

 

Anyone know a good method to get them off?

Bounce dryer sheets. Use them on my travel trailer, of course a wax coat helps big tim.
