You are making this harder than it needs to be. Just order the struts and strut bearing mount. Everything will work out. Never bought an insulator for any Edge just reuse and and it will be fine.

After a little research it appears the lower coil seat is only available thru ford.

Haven't ordered yet, but do the motorcraft strut mount come with the upper insulator and does anyone have a source for the lower insulator? Everything I find online says upper insulator. I am thinking the kyb kit I found is just the mount and upper insulator. or is the upper insulator actually the lower that I need? Ford parts online doesn't even list anything in between the mount and spring but they do list the lower but none of the parts stores list them.

I have found the motorcraft to be a better choice and better strut bearing mount than the moog over time.

Ok thanks, I might go with the kyb kit from napa since it comes with the upper and lower seats/insulators. Wish the ford ones were a complete kit.

There are only struts and strut bearing mounts. Buy the motorcraft strut bearing mounts. By the greaseable MOOG sway bar links. Forget everything else. They do not have bellows, or bump stops on struts. Never replaced a set of sway bar bushing yet, especially at your low mileage. You should buy rear shocks also.

I noticed in an older post you were recommending moog strut mounts, why have you changed your mind? I am getting ready to install new shocks and struts and was thinking of going ahead and doing the mounts as well. Just making sure I get the best bang for my buck. Thanks

Looking for info on radio upgrades for my wife's 07 edge no subwoofer. Mainly looking for feedback on good units with bluetooth phone and streaming music from phone. was also kicking around the idea of a future back up camera install if possible. I have looked on crutchfield site and best buy, just really looking for what other edge owners have installed and how they like it. Thanks again

Well my converter is bad and is being replaced under emissions warranty. Thanks again Ford Service. hopefully this is the last of it.

It goes back in Monday, I figured I am not going to touch it since they had it last, worst case I am out an hour of diagnostic fees if it's not covered, But I will then know what to replace.

Ok thanks, I haven't called the dealer yet, I am kind of worried of the situation, there is no proof that it was or wasn't on before. I was going to switch the 2 o2 sensors from bank 1 and 2 to see if maybe the code would follow the sensor, but from your article it sounds like the o2 sensor is fine. I may call them tomorrow and see what they have to say, I mean this thing was running fine until the PCM issue. I imagine there scan tool should be able to check for injector flaws. The plugs, PCM and timing should be ok. that just leaves the converter or an intake leak (which would fall back on them). I'll keep the forum posted. thanks again

Well, I've got another one now. I am now getting a P0430 code, whats the possibilities my misfire on 6 has burnt out my converter? and has anyone else had this happen? thanks again

Good news just got the call a couple hours ago, Ford is covering everything. Thanks everbody for your help and insight.

yea I know, its been a good vehicle other than this, but depending on the out come this may do me in on fords for awhile, this was my first ford too.

Well the dealer called and they are checking in with Ford to see what all will be covered they said more than likely the PCM will be covered but they don't know if the ignition coils or spark plugs will be. Just have to wait and see.

Ok I see your point now, I was kind of wondering that after I posted.

Also I am hoping you guys are right about the coils and everything because the way I am reading it it seems like just pcm would be covered.

Bring this back up from the dead, My wife's 07 edge with 71000 miles is having the same issues, I went ahead and replaced the spark plugs and 2 cops but I am now having a bad cop code. It is currently at the local ford garage and I imagine I am going to have to eat this bill, the build date for the car is 9-13-07 so I should be under emissions warranty but everyone I have talked to at the dealer didn't seem to think it will cover it.
