  1. I have gotten rid of my Edge, and traded it in with my aftermarket wheels. So, I have the original wheels/tires/tpms to get rid of. Tires have about 600 miles on them, and all are in perfect condition.

If you live in the Palm Beach to Vero Beach are of Florida, you are welcome to come get them. I am in Port St Lucie along the turnpike. They are taking up space in my garage, and I'll throw them out next week if no one wants them

  2. i just boufght these recently. They were the STR, and I hate them. I've had them balanced at two different shops and they still vibrate above 60mph. The roadforce was at 26 lbs. Normal should be around 5 lbs with 28 being the max. Getting rid of them and going back to Yoko's. Guess you get what you pay for. They were cheap at the dealer, so I tried them.

  3. I was guilty of doing the same thing once in a while when I had my G8GT. But yeah, you need to know when you've won and let up. Luckily I never got a ticket, but I knew when to let up on the gas. It was classic though.

  4. Coming to work this morning, I had a guy in a newer Jeep SRT-8 4 wheel drive pull up hard next to me at the light. Both our vechicles are black, with chrome wheels, so maybe that is why he pulled up next to me. I could hear him reving the engine and doing the little hold the brake, give it gas, and it moves forward just a tad thing. So I reved back just to play with him. I knew there was no way I could keep up with him. I had one take me in my Pontiac G8GT off the line, which is a very fast car, and knew they were super quick. So the light turns green and he is frikin' gone. With the 4 wheel drive there was no tire smoke, just gone. I am accelerating at a nice easy pace. Next thing I see is a cop come out of the shopping center and pull him over. He was probably doing over 80 in a 45 mph zone. Gave a little wave as I passed them. My Edge may not be a fast as his SRT-8, but I got to my destination faster than him!! :shades:

  5. "I agree! Nothing like 'fake BREMBO' big brake caliper covers covering honda sized rotors to fool who? :hammer_self:

Paint the real calipers, or better yet 'powder coat them. "

Exactly. I have painted mine before on my Pontiac G8GT with the G2 paint, and they look great. Guy here at work put those MGP covers on and everyone made fun of him, and he finally removed them and painted them. Like you said, big caliper covers with little rotors looks goofy.

  6. "Any tips about about getting started are welcomed."

OK, too easy. First you put the key in the ignition......Just playing.

Welcome. I too have come from GM having had 3 Pontiac Grand Prix's and a G8GT.

  7. Yeah Shaun, those women folk can be a pain :-) They just don't understand.

Thanks Ironpeddler. i got them at Tire rack. H&R springs. All it needed was an alighnment. Ride is firmer, but I like that better having come from two previous sports sedans to this. Couldn't stand the factory ride. Not jarring at all. It handles much more like a sports sedan rather than a SUV. Seriously. The low profile v rated tires make a big difference to.

  8. They look great!! Now lower it and it will really look awesome!!!!!!! I don't know why these SE versions sit so high. The others don't sit like that. Hated mine and put 20's on and it looked terrible, so I went with lowering it and love it. Take a look at my album, I have before and after wheels and lowering.
