Well time to move on, there have been a lot of great tips and information on this forum and hope to see some fellow MKX owners on the new forum.

Real power or just hype ?

These guys dyno tested different cold air sets ups and got a 1.7% power increase.................thats all folks !

Hitch was removed from my MKX just after I purchased it so it is like new, available in the Vancouver/Vancouver Island area. Currently in my storage and will dig it out in July when I return back to Canada.........all yours for only $75.

Before I bought my 2009 MKX I owned a 2006 CRV AWD that was fully loaded and loved it, in the two years I owned it I spent $5 on a lightbulb and that was it. The resale value was great and I had dealers calling all the time to take it on a trade up. With 4 Nokian snows on it the thing was like a cougar in the snow. Towing was obviously limited and if your tall or larger person then its not a comfortable vehicle. Would I go back again to a CRV, probably not since now I'm spoiled with the MKX.

For added safety and piece of mind install a trailer brake controller, the P3 from Tekonsha is well worth the money and it works soooooooo well.

Did you ever find out the answer, I would like to know as well.

If you only need trailer lights you can wire all that at the back of the vehicle, if you are wiring up for trailer brakes you have to run power from the battery.

You guys have an amazing forum here with great pics, discussions and tips....................I made the mistake of spending 2 years in the Lincoln Owners Forum as it was the first forum that came up in my search.........DAH !!

Needless to say I love my MKX but that new Edge is really stunning.
