  1. This topic came up awhile back and unfortuenatly I cannot find the old thread on your exact question.

Anyway apparently the home improvement stores or hardware has pcv plumbing caps/plugs that can cap off those muffler holes you speak of.

The old thread actually had the sizes and part#s but ill be damned if I can find it.

Just be sure however you decide to plug the holes that it cannot fall into the intake tube!

  2. Dont get burned !...What if they look and work great and one burns out in 6 months..........You will be SCREWED !

Go to www.daytimebrightlites.com and get their HID bulbs......simple plug and play and they are three times

    brighter then factory and $120

Yes i agree, but that could happen with any HID system. But im not interested in these just for the HID's..... I like the overall look of the quad halos and projection eyeballs. It really changes the look of the front to my liking. I wish Dan had custom headlamp assemblies for sale i would surely purchase from him again. Dan you got any custom headlamps in the works? Lol.

  3. These caught my eye and I like the look if them.

However I am skeptical of spending $768 with an ebay seller from China!

Anyone here heard or purchased from this company?

I already purchased Dan's Led taillamps and love them. I need something to compliment the front lighting now.

If you consider what it costs to customise our existing headlamps and give the customiser your existing lamps and pay a core fee these lamps are not all that bad. Just my thoughts.....

  4. How many miles does the Edge have? A misfire or bad coils will take time to throw a code if its a intermittent problem. Does it do it consistently or random? Like only at start up? Or after its to running temp does it go away?

The taping of brakes feeling means something is dragging in the powertrain or loss of power....motor, trans.

This could be a very hard problem to diagnose with out a code! You may want to wait for a code before jumping into it!

  5. If your looking for even more intake noise/growl remove the intake muffler. The intake muffler is that square box that you have your K&N decal on. The intake muffler is attached to the rubber intake tube. You will need to cap off the holes after you remove this muffler. There was a thread on here about this mod. The caps could be bought at Homedepot, Lowe's, or Menard's.

  6.

The adjuster was already marked (factory?), i just lined it up again when I was done. It didnt matter though, it was still off a ton on the alignment rack, the drop springs pull it all over the place.

Ok..i got it, i just thought the cam adjusters would lose thier spot upon removal of the lower control arm bolt. I was wondering how it felt without an alignment. Most guys on here that did the lowering springs stated they drove it right to the alignment shop for adjustments. I pretty much expected that.

    Thanks for the input.

  7. Nice job, and thanks for the tips! Your Edge looks great!

I have not lowered mine yet... but its on the list. With your couple of tips especially the rears I will be a little better prepared goin in. And yes removal of the front plastic window cowl is a huge time saver on removal of those top strut bolts! Did you mark those rear adjuster bolts before you loosened and backed them out to lower the arm and drop the stock springs?

  8. Ford paints the bumpers seperatly. So chances of them matching spot on are not expected, especially on metalic colors its more noticeable.

Also another reason why their not all painted as one whole vehicle is the plastic bumper covers have a different plastic adhearing primer and a paint with flex additive. All things considered they do a pretty good job for them not being painted @ the same time.

  9. Pretty cool for those with SE's looking for some lowcost light bars. Have you compared the brightness and color to some stock bars yet?

Just looked at the link and these are oem fomoco lamps, so brightness and color should be same as stock bars.

He actually charges $45 for the pair of lamps free shipping, not bad for oems. Electrical connections are not included with that price just the pair of lamps.

  10. Thanks Jay, its your fault...!!!

My Edge is my daily driver..... and now I'm doing 0-60 runs with it. I have a mustang and t-bird for the fun stuff. I just can't leave anything alone! But after your post I thought what the heck, and now I want to play with the Edge too!

I have found that my Edge is getting better gas mileage and the motor and drivetrain has a smoother/looser better feel. I agree with you as it breaks in its only going to get better.

  11. Well all I can say is I ran the Edge several runs and they all were within a couple hundreths of a second each test. Consistant 6.40-6.47 0-60. My best was the 6.35 but it only ran that one time. So that's why I did the average of all the runs and cane up with 6.42. I do believe my g-tech is quite accurate because the numbers were very close no freak runs. I do plan on doing a few more 0-60 tests another day just to confirm.

I know I'm a bit skeptical on the numbers too. But she does pull strong. I need to set up a youtube account so I can post some video. The 6.35 run was just stab the gas off idle with the TC off. When I tried to preload the converter @ 2000rpm the times were slower. I tried a couple of selectshift runs those were slower as well.

I know one thing the AWD is working!! Not a hint of wheel spin.... just go! !

1st pic is the g-tech I tested with.

2nd pic is another 0-60 run with the Edge.

  12. Well I had some time this weekend to get a good 0-60 base run on my Edge.

I ran several 0-60 runs. Traction control on TC off. Selectshift no selectshift. Rev to 2000rpm and release brake. Of all these tests the Edge had the lowest 0-60 by just stabing the gas from idle with the TC off.

My Edge is a completely stock 2013 3.5L SEL AWD with 20" wheels. My runs were done using a g-tech pro accelerometer unit. My Edge has 7, 500 mi. I had 3/4 tank of 87oct fuel and air temp was 55* All runs I did were within a few hundreths of a sec of my best. Basically if you took all the runs to create an average I get 6.42sec 0-60.

My best was 6.35s. Not bad for a stock Edge!

I just thought I would share my results. I do plan on doing some mods and this will be a great tool to use for refetence of improvement each mod gives.

1st pic is just how I had the g-tech set up and its location.

2nd pic is the test data on my best 0-60 run.
