While investigating an erratic rpm at idle issue, I noticed the vacuum line that comes out behind the battery and connects into the right side of the intake duct is broken. My Haynes manual has no vacuum diagram, so I am clueless as to what it is for, or if it will help steady my idle rpm. I was thinking I may be able to get a fitting and splice the two pieces together. Any ideas? I will take a photo and attach it later today.

I hit an object in the road with my 2012 Edge Se and broke a few of the plastic clips that hold the lower valance on to the upper valance. Does anybody have a part number or a suitable replacement? Looking at the parts breakdowns don't seem to help.

Similar thing happened on my 2012. Checked the tranny fluid and it wasn't even on the dipstick. The local Autozone didn't carry the correct ATF so I called the parts department at dealer I bought it from. I told him I had just brought it in for a complimentary oill change 2 weeks prior, so he patched me over to Service. To make a long story shorter, 2 lines from the tranny to the transmission cooler were leaking under pressure and spraying onto the engine block, hence no fluid on the driveway. They were great about replacing both lines and got me a rental car until it was complete.

Thanks macbwt! I will pick up a connector at Autozone tonight and splice together.
