  1. I was wondering this myself. My current Edge has FWD, but I'm considering getting AWD next time. Not really sure if AWD is warranted though in my case. No snow in my area of Texas. We do tend to have icy roads in the Winter. And we have plenty of pasture parties, picnics & off road driving...oh the country life, lol. Most people around my area have 4 wheel drive, not AWD, so it can be turned off when not needed. I guess the main thing I worry about with an AWD is it wearing out quicker & when/if it does, will cost a lot more to fix. At least that's what I'm told. So what's the verdict? :)

  2. This really worries me since I'm looking in to trade up to a 2016 Edge Sport. I really don't want to have to worry about hoses blowing off & turbo not working. I can hear my husband complaining already about what junk I bought. I catch hell as it is from him for all the bells & whistles on my 2013 Edge Sport. I love my current Edge, best vehicle I've ever had, but I want that twin turbo so bad!! What to do...what to do?? :shift:

  3. Nice....your wife is a very lucky woman!! :worship::) That's exactly what I want only in white with the black rims and of course all the bells & whistles  . I'm planning on trading in my current 2013 Edge Sport but I'm holding out for the 2016. The wait is just about killing me, lol. I was at the dealership a couple weeks ago getting mine inspected so I looked at one on the lot while I waited. Didn't test drive it though because I didn't want to be tempted and buy it now.

How does your wife like it so far? Hope she's enjoying it & welcome to the forum.

  4. I'v had the Morimoto 35w, 5000k (9006)bulbs on my 2013 Edge Sport for awhile now. Im very happy with the briteness & color quality. My only complaint is when I crank up my Edge & my lights are on AUTO, 50% of the time my driver's side headlight does not turn on. I have to cycle the lights to off & then turn them back to ON or AUTO again before that light will turn on. Sometimes I have to do it several times or turn lights to OFF & wait a couple minutes before switching back to ON or AUTO before that light turns on. It's very frustrating, not sure what is causing this. Anyone else have this same problem or know how to fix it? Im at my wits end here, it's embarrassing when it happens in public. :( Im about ready to switch back to the original bulbs, which totally suck!! Please help

  5. Depends on what you mean by "act as DRLs". Wired as the instructions show, the lights will be on whenever the ignition is on. They will dim to 70% brightness when the headlights are on but they will stay on. They will alternately flash amber and white with the turn signals and then return to solid white when the signals are off.

My bad, they act just like this^^^^^^^, I thought yall were having problems with them acting as DRL. I'll just keep my mouth shut, dumb blonde here sorry.

  6. So my husband finally installed these lights, and OMG let me just say the videos on Daytimebrightlites do not do these lights justice. They are so much BETTER in person. I was so excited when my husband drove up lastnight with them installed. The color is so pretty and brite!! The blinker matches perfectly with the stock & mirror blinkers. Thank you kc300c for these fantastic lights!! Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

One question, the directions to install the EDGE-2DRL indicated that they would be hooked up with stock lighting. I have HIDs on my vehicle. My husband was worried the HIDs would burn up the DRLs. Is that going to happen? I assumed it won't because 75% of the people on here buying these lights have HIDs on their Edge, not to mention kc300c has HIDs on his vehicle as well.

    Thanks again Dan!!

  7. Loose brake calipers might be it. I have noticed when my parking brake is on sometimes the back wheels where the brakes are at make noise when you lean up against the car. Like there wore out of something. I will mention that to the service rider. Thanks, will let yal'll know what it ends up being. Their suppose to get my car in this week.

  8. Bought my Edge brand new back in November, no problems for the first 6 months. For the past month I have noticed a clunking noise when I drive over a bump or a rough road. This usually happens when Im going under 20mph. When I drive on a level/smooth road or go at a fast speed you never hear it. It doesn't matter if the A/C is on or off, or if the gas tank is full or close to empty, it still makes the noise. It sounds like its coming from below the vehicle towards the back. Does not sound like its coming from the engine or front area of car. I took it to the dealership and they can't seem to figure out what it is. I even took the service rider at the dealership for a ride so he could hear the noise, even he didn't know what was causing it to make that sound. They kept it for a couple hours and determined it was something to do with a piece of plastic that helps with aerodynamics. They couldn't get it to make the noise after messing with it so assumed it was fixed. Well when I was driving it back to work it still made the noise.

So now next week Im taking it back again.

Has anyone had this problem with their Edge?? Or knows what it could be??

    Thanks
