  1. If you press the "INFO" button it should be listed in the bottom left corner. I will check mine again at lunch to make sure that that is it.

    I checked it out...

Press the MENU button that is on the left side of the system. Then on the screen press the SYSTEM INFO tab which is the right most tab. Then in the bottom left hand corner of the screen will be the SR ESN number.

  2. I have mine set so the top of the screen is always North. Give that a try to see if your problem goes away.

(I like the North screen because that is the way I always look at a paper map - My wife can't read a paper map unless she turns the map around to read it as the direction she is going, the same as you have your screen set).

No, I agree on reading the map, but I didn't like it when I'm actually moving in a direction.

  3. Has anyone else noticed or had this problem?

This happens on the Navigation System when my map view is set so that I am always driving towards the top of the screen. Basically the there is a small double triangle (one half orange that represents the direction you are driving and one white) in the top left of the screen, that lets you know you are in that mode (the other mode is so that the top of the screen is always North.) Anyway when I'm driving north or south the orange triangle points the appropriate way, when I'm driving east/west it points the opposite way (or the white triangle is pointing the correct way which doesn't make any sense.)

    Anyone else experience this?

  4. Thanks Dan. That makes me feel a lot better!!!

I wear regular glasses and am prepared to purchase prescription sunglasses for my edge purchase...lol

Actually, I want prescription sunglasses anyway...

BUT, you have made me feel a lot better...

    Thanks!

I have a Red Edge w/ the camel interior and I have no issues regarding glare.

  5. I did speak with someone from mercury and he gave me a quote which stated that progressive was the lowest. Now as for getting what I wanted, due to my little to no credit history I was only approved for the SE at $25,000. It's good because now I can just up grade the systems that I want later on and not have it rise my monthly payment . The only thing I will miss is the vista roof which is what I wanted most of all and according to the dealer I will never be able to put on after purchase. I can only get a sunroof if I want to up grade later. But I am just thank full to have my first new car. Thanks for your advice.

    I'd find a new lender.

  6. I haven't noticed any...of course now I will look for it, I will see it, and it will bother the crap out of me. :)

It was sunny yesterday when I drove home (amazingly), I did see the glare you mentioned, but unless I looked for it I don't notice it while I'm driving. I don't know if it is any worse one way or the other. The next time I drive my Escape (I still need to sell it) I will be interested to see if I notice the same type of reflection.

  7. Love the BAMR. Used the Nav. system while in downtown Detroit without a hitch. What color did you get?

Redfire w/ a camel interior. My Escape was Brite Red w/ grey interior, but I wanted to lighten up the inside so I went w/ the camel. It looks really good. I also got Sirius, 18" aluminum wheels, rubber mats, and the cargo system.

  8. I had the same problem for the first day or two, but I think that I wasn't actually getting it into the right position. . .over shot it.

Cool...thanks for the heads up...I'll try and watch more closely. It has only happened twice.

PS - I love this vehicle. I got an SEL+ w/ the BAMR and the Nav system. Awesome...awesome...awesome.

  9. I picked up my Edge yesterday. I ordered it on 10/9, so that wasn't too bad. The vehicle itself if phenomenal!!! It rides so smooth and is much quieter than my 01 Escape. Kudos to all that put out a vehicle that Ford should be very proud of.

The only problem I've had in my 20 hours of owning it, is that a couple of times I've put it in reverse it hasn't slipped into gear. I have to put it into drive and then back into reverse to get it into gear. Any idea what may be happening???
