I've owned 1 Thunderbird, 3 Explorers and 4 Expeditions and never had the problem so was concerned, but your theory sounds logical

Is anyone else experiencing this strong gas smell in garage after complete fill up? Quite often I just put in a few gallons, but that gets to be a nuisance. I have called several Ford dealers and they do not seem to know anything.
