you can also reverse the polarity on the hid... it happened to me a couple of times that even though its positive to positive sometimes for some reasons its backwards...

here's the bulb... the long one is 42mm and of course the wedge bulb... the 42mm goes t the rear and cargo..

Did those also fit the cargo. I know they work for dome.

there arw 2 different bulbs... the light bulbs for the map lights and license plate are the same.. they call it the peanut bulbs.. and the ones for tge rears and cargo are those long ones. i got like 10pcs at ebay for 8 bucks from china.. just installed them couple of days ago..

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but aside from getting a different sound from the air box, this is not much of a performance mod. With the snorkel removed you are sucking in hot air from directly behind the radiator. If the sound is what you are after, use the airbox silencer delete plug from Steeda made for the 3.5 Fusion.

well just a bad news guys... on my way home, one of the 55 watt ballast gave up on me and got burned! i notice.that something is not right while driving this evening. stoped at the next gas station and as soon as i open the hood! s@%# it was burning! toom it of right away and even the bulb was burned! im just glad the my stiock wiring is not toast! had this hid installed with harness for 2 weeks now and it just happened all of the sudden. now im rnning on 35 watts and 5k hid blbs.

Will give it a go today. Fingers crossed I did change out the filter (Purolator Classic) the other day (Motorcraft, old = dirty), and I do have to say that it made a small-but-noticeable improvement. Apparently the shine-the-light-through-the-filter standard is not enough to check for adequate airflow these days.

any updates?

If your looking for even more intake noise/growl remove the intake muffler. The intake muffler is that square box that you have your K&N decal on. The intake muffler is attached to the rubber intake tube. You will need to cap off the holes after you remove this muffler. There was a thread on here about this mod. The caps could be bought at Homedepot, Lowe's, or Menard's.

you talking about that square plastic piece sitting on top of the rubber intake tube? what do u recommend putting on that if i took that off? thanks!
