  1. Hopefully just a bad cylinder head temperature sensor, and not an actual cooling system issue. Check coolant and engine oil level/condition carefully first. Then you will have to take off the upper AND lower intake manifolds to get to the sensor. Some people have had the wire to this sensor chewed through by pests also.

Many thanks for your kindly reply. I appreciate. I will check as you said.

  2. Did you check in the glovebox for the card? Every Ford with a keypad comes with a credit-card sized card that has the original code on it. Should be in the package with the Owner's guide if you still have that.

Many thanks for your information. I did search glove box and nothing. I bought used one in 2013 and I dont think I can find it. I may go dealer to seek help.

  3. There are only 5 buttons but instead of only using numbers 1-5 they decided to allow you to use all 10 digits (0-9) so you can create codes that are easy to remember like birthdays or other numbers. It doesn't matter if you're pressing the same button twice in a row, or 5 times in a row.

Even with only 5 nu,bears you could have a code of 11111. In this case 11111, 22222 and 12121 all equal 5 presses of the 1/2 button.

Thanks again for guys replies. But the numbers I got from fuse panel not working for my door lock so what I can do?

  4. Depends on what year it is. If it's newer read the manual, there is a sequence you must do with both key fobs which involves placing key in center console, pressing start button and then doing same procedure with other key fob.

The code then displays on your dash screen

My Edge is 2011 model and tried your way and found nothing displayed. Can you explain more specific how to do this procedure?

  5. It does not matter. For sake of simplicity. Think of 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, 9&0 as the same number.

If your code is 12345. You would press 1&2 twice, 3&4 twice and then 5&6.

The exact same pattern as if the code was 22445.

I'm not sure there is any other way anyone is going to be able to explain it. Pretty straight forward concept. Each set of numbers, counts as one button press regardless of which number you are hitting. You don't need to try and touch only the number you want just hit the entire button

If this doesn't make sense I'd suggest stopping by the dealer and having someone show you in person.

Thanks lot for your reply. If the numbers I see on cover are indeed the keypad codes how can I verify them?

  6. Yes those is the factory code.

If your first number is EITHER a 1 or a 2, press the 1/2 button. If the second is either a 3 or a 4, press the 3/4 button. Etc.

A code of 164 is the same button pressed as 253. (I used three digits instead of five for simplicity).

Thanks for you guys quick replies. But if the code is 3,4 or 2,1 how should I enter those codes for example?

  7. Without keyless entry? Sure. Without alarm going off? Possibly, but less likely (depends on shock sensor sensitivity and if they open a door).

Don't assume the alarm will have any effect on them. If someone wants to get into your vehicle, they will. Alarm or not.

Even if your alarm goes off, they have more than enough time to grab what they want and be gone before anyone has time to react.

Any countermeasure (alarms, lights, led warnings, etc) are just deterrents. Determination far outweighs them.

Best idea is to park in a trustworthy area with surveillance signs clearly posted.

Thanks Candurin for your promptly reply. If as you said some one can get in vehicle pretty easy it is very scary. Anything to make safer?

  8. Make sure the AC button and recirculate are off. Select VENT as the air source and turn temperature all the way down.

Thanks for normcloutier kind reply. But how to select "VENT"? I dont see this option. I really need do this because now days outside air is cool but inside hot and there is no need AC. However blow air not is as cool as outside while lower down window. If we can not use outside fresh cool air I will say the AC system design is stupid waste energy.

  9.

The stability system is designed to account for that, it doesn't actually know how much grip can be produced by each tire, it just reacts to what's actually happening. But it is true that mixing tires is never a good idea, it can ruin the steering and handling feel of the vehicle and make it more difficult to control in an emergency.

To lpgao - if you're going to put two tires in storage, I'd put the two Pirelli's in storage (or sell them) and put all 4 of the same tires on the vehicle. Also sounds like you have not been rotating them, so make sure you do that every 10K km or so. Keep in mind that even in storage, tires do age. If you keep those things in your basement for 5 years they will not be as good as they are now.

Many thanks Waldo for your great information.

I never did rotation on my tires as I have my Edge just 2.5 years, and it has total 160k KM. Now I put 4 new Goodyear tires. I attached photo here to show everybody the difference between fron and rear tires. Front one is done, but rear one is still prety good.post-28394-0-78784800-1461726082_thumb.jpg

  10. Thanks for all of your inputs. I like to report my story here to share with you.

I bought 4 good year tires which is cheapest brand out there. But when I got car shop the mechanic said first: good year tire is not good, cheap but not last long. Then he told me rear pair are still good so I should just buy a set new for front.

I looked carefully and found the quality of good year is not as good as Pirelli on my edge. Secondly, I found the front two almost worn out but the rear set is nearly like new. That means front tires working hard? New ones should go front.

BTW, I brought rear set back to home and save for next time change I just buy two new Pirelli.
