I have a 2008 Edge Limited with Nav system. For the last several months, I've had the classic symptoms of the Nav screen going dead during use, or more commonly, when I start the car, the Nav system screen never turns on. Cycling power, disconnecting the battery, etc. all have worked for me for short periods of time. Now, I am fed up enough that I want to buy an aftermarket in-dash receiver. From reading threads here, it seems that it could be the APIM not the head unit (in dash touchscreen radio) itself??? If I buy a new receiver with proper wiring harness, and it turns out the APIM is bad, will the new receiver also not work? I don't want to drop $600 on a new radio only to find that when I connect it to the factory wiring it doesn't work. Anyone have any experience with this?

What does the 2.1 give you that the older version didn't? I also have a 2008 (bought used) and the website is pretty vague about what the upgrade does.

I am selling the two foam inserts that go around the spare tire under the rear floor. Ford part numbers are: 9T4Z-78310B17-CA and 7T4Z-78310B16-CA. These are for Edge's without the cargo management trays. They will fit 2007 - 2010 models. There are photos on the ebay pages. I know this is an old thread, but I just purchased a 2008 Edge and am looking into warranties, too. I heard that a water pump replacement on the Edge could be a $2000 repair by itself, so paying +/- $2500 for a warranty could pay for itself. Does anybody know how long a water pump on the Edge typically lasts? The warranty I am considering would cover it until 117,000 miles. In my previous vehicles, I've had to replace the water pump at around 100k. Is the Edge any different?

I just bought a 2008 Ford Edge and have Thule square bars and feet but need the fit kit. If you have one you are willing to sell, let me know.
