My 2021 Ford Edge (101K miles) has stopped cooling on the driver side (passenger side is OK).
In 2019, both driver side and passenger blend door actuators failed within a month of each other, but were replaced quickly and easily.
The mechanic just checked the driver side blend door actuator and it was fine. He reported that "something else" (can't remember - blend door box?) needed to be replaced and it would require removing the whole dashboard based on the excellent design features of the Ford Edge and it would cost $2000+
A part of me ithinks the best option is to consign the Edge to winter driving and use another car in the summer. However, I thought I would check with the experts here to see if there might be a less expensive repair.
