Just bought a 2013 Edge Sport. Looking to do a custom exhaust. Any advice on how I should do this? Thinking of going with a X pipe and Flowmaster 40 series mufflers. Do I remove the middle resonator and just put a Flowmaster muffler there and eliminate the rear 2? Or can I delete the resonator altogether and put 2 Flowmaster mufflers in the rear? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks

All my WeatherTech stuff came in this week, F/R floor mats and the Cargo mat. Got that stuff laid in. I like it a lot.

The rear cargo mat seemed to tone down the road noise as an added bonus. I installed the window visors some time ago.

Also,after seeing it on the site I bought and installed the rear bumper cover off the Scion mod. Worked like a champ.

Looks pretty slick and much needed protection too.

Now for the LED mods,lol

Not rotating tires would just cause uneven wear on two of them.

 

Personally I wouldn't buy it without a bumper to bumper warranty of some kind.

Oh I would definitely be getting the b2b warranty.

Just got off the phone with a good friend who is a mechanic for 25 years. He said it's either the struts/shocks are worn or the tires were not rotated religiously. Carfax (grain of salt) shows only having rotated the tires once. He said it should have been done roughly 7 times.

Since I bought the Edge I've noticed it's driven by more chicks than old men or men in general. Don't think you can do much about that unless you decide to add 36" Mudders and fender flares. The only differences I see between the Sport and other models are the wheels and the grill color, which I hate and plan to do something about. I may paint it black or maybe match the color of the car, Kodiak Brown. And oh yeah the plastic Sport badge. 2 things I do with every vehicle; pull off anything dealer related and the badges.

 

But hey different strokes for different folks. If you like it go for it. What color by the way?

Because there are a million SE, SEL and Limiteds on the road and very few Sports. I just like the look better of the Sport. All the other models look like old man vehicles.

So like you said, maybe it's just the crappy Scorpions.

I looked in the tire thread here and it was not uncommon for these tires to wear pretty early. Mechanic said everything checked out alright with the struts, etc..

They are all Pirelli Scorpions. One is just newer then the others.

Where do you see dealer installed wrong tire? It was aligned on 4/25/14 and new tire was put on 8/6/14.

Which tire choice from the 2 options they gave me?

Looking at buying a used 2013 Edge Sport FWD. Car is fully loaded with 34k miles. Took it to an independent mechanic and the only thing the found wrong was it needs 3 new tires and an alignment ( 1 tire looks to have been replaced recently) Asking price is $27500. Which according to Edmunds TMV it's about $500 below price. They are willing to get me 3 brand new Pirelli Scorpions Zeros and do an alignment or get 4 brand new Hankook Ventus RH06ST w/alignment. They won't budge on their asking price. Offered $26500 and $27000 with tires ect but no deal. Is what they are offering a good deal in your guys opinion? Any insight would be appreciated.

Any warning lights come on after doing this?

Maybe I am. I know I'm getting 3500 in rebates and they get 3% holdback. I also know they get incentives from the dealer on top of the holdback.

I'm getting 3500 from the factory and the dealer is getting 4000 from the factory.

Well I know their "invoice price" isn't what they paid for the vehicle. They get $4000 in rebates from Ford and the hold back is around $1300.
