  1. No, I bought it through a rack wholesale company here in San Diego called Rack-It (http://www.rack-it.com/). I have purchased racks through them before and their customer service is what continues to bring me back. Both Yakima and Thule are excellent companies. While the rack is about $150 more than the factory rack I can say that the ability to remove it and place it on another vehicle or just sell it outright is well worth it. Looking at craigslist you can find many of them for sale years later at close to what the original owner paid for them.
  2. Taking it off would take about 15 minutes. Each of the bases have a tool inside that is used to tighten the clamp to the roof. I have had the Yakima kit on a previous car and I can honestly say that the Thule ARB kit is much easier to put on and take off.
  3. I installed this Thule roof rack today on the top of my 2014 Edge. The install was very easy to complete and only took about 45 minutes including putting the rack together in the garage before I put it on the roof. Main purpose was my Thule cargo box and bike mount for road trips. Thule ARB 53" bars Traverse 480R towers with 1530 fit kit Thule lock set
