Well, I am getting a complete mixed bag on this question. Ford seems to tell you that it really shouldn't be towing something like that without the original factory towing package. Others say sure, no problem, while others say if it were them, they wouldn't test it. On a hot day with a lot of hills, you may live to regret it. I think I'm going to get a truck, just to be safe. Too bad, as I really like my Edge.

Anyone have experience towing a boat with their edge? I have a 3000lb (wet weight) boat, but don't have the factory towing package. Do I need to add a transmission cooler, etc?
